How old were you when you got married?

NC'd just in case anyone can identify me with previous posts.

I was 20 when I first got married, divorced at 23 and I'm about to get married for the second time at the age of 26. For various reasons, I don't really count my first marriage as a marriage, as we were not husband and wife in any sense of the words, it was a horrific relationship to be in (for me). So I feel like I'm getting married for the first time, even though it's not technically true. How old were you when you got married? Smile

I was 27 - DH was 26 - had been together 4 yrs at that point- engaged after 2. I was 'old' back then to get married- lots of my friends were married at 21/22 ish. Some are still going strong 30+ yrs later- some not!

Married at 18, divorced at 23, married again at 26. 37 now. This does feel like my proper grown up marriage.

I was 24 he was 30, 1988 and still married, my mum was 19 and dad 21 !

52 now and will never go down that road again!
