The panic on his face when his phone went off 😂 probably the wife asking what he wants for his tea!

placemats · 09/07/2024 14:56

Lee Anderson being sternly instructed to move back has made my day (not childish 😃).

Lyndsey Hoyle to continue as speaker.

newnamethanks · 09/07/2024 14:57

Ooh. Just calling to tell you you're on the telly!

MotherFeministWoman · 09/07/2024 14:58

This is such adorable British nonsense.

tobee · 09/07/2024 14:59

Here comes the best bit

NoDishiForRishi · 09/07/2024 14:59

I once saw Lindsay Hoyle at Chester Zoo. He was wearing a very nice pair of red trousers.

Igotjelly · 09/07/2024 14:59

Nearly choked on my water watching them 'drag' him across the floor 😂it's utter nonsense and I'm 100% here for it!

NoDishiForRishi · 09/07/2024 15:01

Keir looks so relaxed! I love it!

newnamethanks · 09/07/2024 15:02

Yes, KS, Diane Abbott. About time too.

Indeed!

Igotjelly · 09/07/2024 15:03

Very classy recognition of Diane, I really hope that buries the hatchet.

NoDishiForRishi · 09/07/2024 15:04

Oooooh Hunts got a right face on him hasn't he!

tobee · 09/07/2024 15:04

Can't help be disappointed to see Oliver Dowden and Jeremy Hunt

Igotjelly · 09/07/2024 15:05

And in fairness very classy from Sunak.

Cheguevarahamster · 09/07/2024 15:06

Why am getting emotional? Is it because everyone is being decent and not biting each others arses off. Even Sunak is being sensible. It's so weird to see him on the opposition benches.

Edited

It's traditional to recognise only the Father of the house but recently that tradition has been broken.

Yes, he almost seems relieved. I think it was Rory Stewart who said that Sunak may be much better suited to opposition than leadership.

Very nice words about Diane as well.

Cheguevarahamster · 09/07/2024 15:07

And a lovely nod to Abbott from Starmer.

newnamethanks · 09/07/2024 15:08

Good. Diane deserves some recognition and thanks. From both sides too. I'm quite impressed. I hope that helps her feel it's been worth it.

NoDishiForRishi · 09/07/2024 15:08

I've got to say, Rishi looks younger than he did last week. I'd bet pound to a penny that deep down he's glad to be out of it.

BestIsWest · 09/07/2024 15:09

Dowden doesn’t look happy at all. Nice words from Rishi and he does look happier.

Still don't really understand why he went into politics in the first place. Maybe he didn't expect to get so far so fast

NoDishiForRishi · 09/07/2024 15:11

I reckon so @tobee

Oh it is nice to hear from Diane.

cardibach · 09/07/2024 15:11

I was too busy watching to post but I’ve been watching. I audibly cheered at ‘I call the Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’. Starmer is so much more Co ride t post election - he knows he can do this while opposition must have been infuriating for a capable person. Sunak also seems more relaxed and less unpleasant.

tobee · 09/07/2024 15:12

Keep thinking Diane Abbott sounds teary but she doesn't look it
