What milk do the adults in your house drink?

Assuming those of you with children buy full fat for them, what do the adults have and why?

I buy skimmed (cos I'm always on a diet and prefer it in tea) but I'm tempted to swap to semi skimmed.

Oat for DH, soya for me, semi for DSS (15) and any of the above for DD

Blandskog · 23/06/2024 17:20

Semi skimmed for cups of tea and DH's cereal, whole milk for everything and everyone else.

kitsuneghost · 23/06/2024 17:21

Skimmed. I find whole too greasy especially in tea

Full fat for everybody.

sanityisamyth · 23/06/2024 17:34

Semi skimmed

Ilovebees · 23/06/2024 17:35

None , I use double cream in my coffees :)

stargirl1701 · 23/06/2024 17:39

Whole milk always. Non-homogenised if possible.

Dymaxion · 23/06/2024 17:54

Filtered semi- skimmed, just prefer the taste.

pambeesleyhalpert · 23/06/2024 17:59

Have you tried this? Tastes like semi but calories of skimmed

Full fat milk.

Hate skimmed and even semi skimmed. Full fat milk is I think a low fat food based on the fat percentage anyway. It's so much nicer and when I'm running low and haven't been shopping I top it up with water and no one can tell!

Blueuggboots · 23/06/2024 18:04

One drinks semi-skimmed, one drinks skimmed and one drinks no added sugar oat milk. Yes, we have a massive fridge!! 🤣

RoseAndGeranium · 23/06/2024 18:04

Full fat non-homogenised. Delicious and nutritious.

Eviebeans · 23/06/2024 18:09

Skimmed for tea and coffee and almond for cereal

AstonMartha · 23/06/2024 18:10

None. We don’t buy it.

LightSpeeds · 23/06/2024 18:11

Semi-skimmed and Oatly (which is better than milk)!

mathanxiety · 23/06/2024 18:12

Nobody drinks milk really. I put skim milk in my tea.

IAmAnAdultHumanFemale · 23/06/2024 18:12

We always have whole milk and have done since the kids were babies

it doesn't taste creamier imo it tastes fuller if you see what I mean? More complete?

augustusglupe · 23/06/2024 18:15

We’ve always had Semi skimmed, but I buy a pint of whole milk every week for me as I love it on cereal/granola.

DrinksbytheSea · 23/06/2024 18:16

Semi skimmed (organic) for all here. Not sure why, it’s just what we’ve always bought.

avocadotofu · 23/06/2024 18:17

We don't drink milk but we do put it in coffee etc and we either use organic skimmed or soya.

incessantpunditry · 23/06/2024 18:20

Semi-skimmed. Been buying it since the early 1980's.

I actively dislike full fat milk now, particularly in tea.

Marlowandmerlot · 23/06/2024 18:21

Full fat non-homogenised from the local farm vending machine. It tastes better and is better for the environment.

Yes I switched once my dc started drinking it. Priory to them, I just automatically bought semi skimmed. Full fat is so much nicer...less watery

Straycats · 23/06/2024 18:31

Organic full fat, it's the best and healthiest.
We all love it, either drinking as it is or in coffees etc. Wouldn't have anything else.

Only the healthiest if you happen to be a baby cow..
