What milk do the adults in your house drink?

Assuming those of you with children buy full fat for them, what do the adults have and why?

I buy skimmed (cos I'm always on a diet and prefer it in tea) but I'm tempted to swap to semi skimmed.

Semi skimmed for DH and I. DD has full or Semi Lactofree from Arla. It sells out frequently so she has either. We don't like non-dairy, and having just come back from Italy realise how lovely UK milk is.

My teen sons and husband have semi skimmed milk. I have skimmed milk, as I prefer it.

Not that I ever actually drink it, skimmed for me, some semi skimmed for dh, all in glass from the milkman.

I didn't expect so much response! But thankyou, it's really made me think about something I just pick up every week in the shops without any thought.

Those of you who have said how little the calorie difference is in skimmed compared to others are so right.

I think I'm going to buy both skimmed (for tea) and either semi skimmed or full fat as well next week.

Of course semi skimmed and skimmed milk has less fat than whole milk, about half the amount. I am surprised by the number of folk on here, who have full fat,of all the people I know, family, friends only one has FF. I don't drink it,a dash in tea, the odd bowl of cereal. Probably stems from my childhood (50s) the school milk sat outside in the sun. I was forced to drink it....threw up! Teachers decided it was like a dirty protest on my part. After a couple of years, I was diagnosed with a diary intolerance, put on what was then called the gastric diet. No fats, milk. Now the same thing as with gall bladder problems. Oddly enough,at 21 I had to have mine removed,it was rotten.

Probably a DAIRY intolerance,my diary was fine!

We all drink semi skimmed including our toddler. They don’t need full fat milk as long as their diet is otherwise good

Blue for everyone!

We have full fat. I'm a bit confused as to why it's seen as bad. Apparently any food that's less than 4% fat is classed as low fat. Our whole milk is 3.7% fat so how is that unhealthy?! I really don't get it. I've also heat full fat milk is more nutritious so I see no reason to cut it out. Having said that I don't consume much milk anyway. I never drink glasses of milk abd rarely have cereal.
