Anyone else think there might be something strange about the 19yr old disappearance in Tenerife?

I get that kids do foolish things, like travelling at night with 2 strangers.

But if he was seen at the new accommodation around 8am, and again walking briskly along the road some time “later”, how could he have needed to make a call at 8.30am saying he was lost, had no phone charge and needed water? He would have only just left the accommodation so definitely wouldn’t need water. And why not send your gps or what three words location then?

Does it matter?

Jay was seen twice by a local after he had left the AirB&B, and made two calls.

Whatever happened to him, happened after he'd left.

True but as far as I know it was the same local the lady connected to the Airbnb? If there was something dark that went on with the occupants it is not beyond the realm of possibility that anyone capable of committing serious crime would be capable of threatening and forcing them to repeat a story about seeing Jay. I grew up in an area of UK as a child where protection money was a thing and I don't know much about Tenerife's crime scene but if there is a big drugs crime scene then it is perfectly possibly that criminal entities lean on people to behave in certain ways. There are apparently road works etc but the only witness was one connceted to the venue. Given the huge criminal element that seems to be interwoven in this story it is not so far fetched.

As for making the calls again he could have been forced to make them.

Nobody even knows if the calls took place or what he said.

The guy in the Mail article said he came to the house alive and left the house alive, but nobody knows how far he got.

If there's a whiff of drugs or robbery in it then does anyone expect Tenerife police to care less? It's an island riddled with criminality and the authorities turning a blind eye to it.

Yes, I said at the start, the only witnesses are people who have reasons to lie.
Not saying that they have, but it's not some wild accusation

The police will know what calls took place from billing data, which phone companies will hand over to the police following a valid request as part of an investigation.

Only those on the call can attest to what was said.

Are you saying that Brad and Lucy are liars?
