Anyone else think there might be something strange about the 19yr old disappearance in Tenerife?

I get that kids do foolish things, like travelling at night with 2 strangers.

But if he was seen at the new accommodation around 8am, and again walking briskly along the road some time “later”, how could he have needed to make a call at 8.30am saying he was lost, had no phone charge and needed water? He would have only just left the accommodation so definitely wouldn’t need water. And why not send your gps or what three words location then?

Ahh, it was a link to a GFM where somebody called Norbert is asking for €1,500 to go to Tenerife and 'help' out... he's currently raised €400 thus far.

I captioned it "What a pisstake" or something like that iirc, coincidentally someone's also shared it in tattle now.

I haven't followed the entire thread, and only know scraps about this. I think he is in mainland Spain or Morocco. The traffickers are all around there. Maybe this theory has been put out before now. Safe I hope.

Maybe I could help by taking a holiday in Florida. You know, just to check he hasn’t been taken there. No stone unturned and all that.

What do you think he's doing in Spain or Morocco? I mean I'd be pretty sure he's in Spain, given that Tenerife is in Spain, but I get the feeling you're hinting at something else here @hastalav

I think they mean mainland Spain rather than the islands.

It’s handy that the mayor knows somebody whose friend definitely reckons their cousin saw Jay watching the Euros - all of these random mates of mates flying in can now legitimately sit in a pub drinking all day and watching the football, just to ensure they don’t miss him if he pops back in for another pint.

I am quite sure his mum is genuinely devastated, I’m not sure how many of these hangers-on are truly bereft and there solely to help.

If they can't afford to buy their food over there I bet some didn't have passports / suitcases / beach clothes. I wonder if the money was used.

What's the video about the lost bag? Whoever is talking is very concerned that Jay lost the bag. Assuming they are referring to drugs.

If so, I cannot see how it'd pick up a couple of random people talking as opposed to the people immediately beside the videoer. It doesn't make sense at all to me.

It just backs up that he was off road doesnt it, so more than likely the original story of lost in the mountains is more accurate than any of the fanciful stuff?

Indeed, and now theyre calling for more volunteers. Would anyone want to scale those mountains, where someone potentially fell and died. How strange. I doubt we'll ever know the truth even if a body is found.

Did you not watch it, he’s only talking to the press as jays mother asked him too. Clearly the information has been available to the police and family from the start.

I don’t think the hinted, the poster came right out and said traffickers, just another on line conspiracy theory.

Yes, but a lot of the theories aren't fanciful, when you consider all the facts surrounding him vanishing, and the lead-up to it. Yes, a lot of them are clearly nonsense, tho

Nobody really knows any facts though. If we believe he spent the night with 2 black men and then left on foot then went off piste, then he's likely still off piste but not moving.

But we do know facts. We know he was at a festival. We've seen him in a video completely out of it, whether drink or drugs, and he then left with two men.
We know he was involved in some dodgy stuff previously.
He then seemed to vanish into thin air - and the most recent witness is the owner (or neighbour) of the airbnb.
A GFM was set up despite the family saying they didn't want one. His mum has been added and removed as beneficiary numerous times.

It isn't crazy that people think something very odd has happened and is happening.

Him sliding on the ridge is new information, but it points to him going dramatically off piste- which is odd in itself.

Same facts though. We know where the air bnb is and we know he called his 2 pals (unless theyre lying) saying he was on foot in no mans land. What else could have happenned since then? Unless some bad guys picked him up or he grew wings and flew away he's on that mountainside somewhere.
GFM is just what chavs do, its free money and nobody says no to that. Mum has already said theyre cashing some of it out.
