What would you rustle me up? Too late to go to the shops on Sunday so has to be what you already have in.

You'd get risotto topped with garlic butter prawns. Then (co-op) tiramisu ice cream.
Lots of good wine here too so you can choose your favourite .
Are you on your way?

This makes me think of all the magazines at Christmas who always have a 'foolproof recipe for those guests who turn up and need feeding!' Who are these people?

We shared a lovely beef pie - it was barely enough for two so you'd be getting nowt from me if you'd turned up unannounced expecting to take a share of my pie!

If you turned up at 3 it would he homemade pizza. I almost always have the ingredients in for that and it's dead easy, but seems far more impressive than it actually is.

After 3, we'll I'm sorry but you're either getting a Keema but it won't be slow cooked so the flavour won't be at its best. Or fish fingers. Depending on how much I like you.

Loaded nachos is our "quick" rustle up of choice. Always got a tin or 2 of some sort of spicy beans, and some tortilla chips. Makes a "surprise" visit by vegetarian/vegan/gluten free/lactofree a bit less stressful for an omnivore.

Pot luck as to whether there'd be a salad, salsa, sour cream or guacamole with it. (Which may or may not be suitable depending on dietary needs.)

Nothing, because my dinners are made by the village kitchen and serve one. I'd also be astonished at anyone turning up looking for a meal - they wouldn't set foot in my door.

Short shrift.

Perfect answer!

Absolutely nothing, I wouldn't have answered the door in the first place!

I cooked steak last night, so you would have got steak and chips with mushrooms. I have a couple of individual puds in the fridge so some sort of sponge pudding.

I have some red wine in and the beer fridge has beer, alcohol free beer, J2O, gin, tonic, vodka and cherry pepsi max - I expect guests to help themselves.
