What would you rustle me up? Too late to go to the shops on Sunday so has to be what you already have in.

Waiting for our roast dinner and cheesecake to be delivered from an amazing local business. They're huge portions so easily feed an extra (the dog wouldn't appreciate this though 🤣)

Meadowfinch · 09/06/2024 15:13

Scrambled eggs. mushrooms, fried tomatoes and oven chips.

DS and I are having pork fillet coated in dijon and crumb, served with french beans, broccoli & couscous, but there isn't enough for three.

usernother · 09/06/2024 15:14

Takeaway.

SparrowNest15 · 09/06/2024 15:14

Roast pork , stuffing and apple sauce in a bun with fries , coleslaw and salad . Can swap the filling for ham , sausages or cheese if you prefer 😀

Turning up for dinner without notice do people really do that? I would never! Well we're in salad addiction mode at the moment, so today it would cold roast chicken and salad ,but I don't really like surprise visitors especially when they're expecting to be fed,so I'm hoping you've brought a pudding with you for everyone from home at least!

ScarletWitchM · 09/06/2024 15:15

On a Sunday will always be a roast!

R41nb0wR0se · 09/06/2024 15:15

The big shop arrived yesterday, so probably a smoked tofu stir fry or a posh salad. Or a pasta dish - maybe with mascarpone, smoked salmon and pine nuts. Or pizza. I'd probably rustle up some scones or biscuits too.

MonsteraMama · 09/06/2024 15:16

Well we're having honey sriracha fried chicken with noodles, veg, spring rolls and other assorted vaguely Asian sides that I've excavated from the freezer. So that, as the only other food I have in is artichoke hearts and whipped feta, and you're not having those. They're mine.

ovals · 09/06/2024 15:18

Halloumi, hummus, pitas and salad on this winter’s day.

ElephantsDontReadFantasy · 09/06/2024 15:19

Home made pizza, side of homemade fries, glass of Prosecco or beer, ice cream for dessert?

blooming24 · 09/06/2024 15:19

Wine

Purplecatshopaholic · 09/06/2024 15:20

We’re having spag Bol. So I could chuck in some extra, and cook some garlic bread to make it enough for three. But you’d get a bit of a bollocking for turning up unannounced tbh! We don’t drink so it would be a dry evening but if you know me, you would bring your own, lol.

Itisal · 09/06/2024 15:21

You’re in luck due to a busy week coming up you have choices. Roast chicken dinner or if in a rush salmon or if less time beans on toast.

Hmm I've just done some chicken breast in the air fryer for tomorrow post circuits lunch. So I think I would Mexicana, shredded the chicken and toss with fajita spices roll up in tortillas since I always have those in and bake in oven with melted cheese tomato style sauce

haddockfortea · 09/06/2024 15:25

Ikea Swedish meatballs, mash, onion gravy, carrots and peas, followed by raspberry cheesecake.

There's three of us today and I can make enough for 4, so come on over about 6.30.

TheFunHasGone · 09/06/2024 15:27

It's looking like chicken nuggets and chips here

Muffin101 · 09/06/2024 15:27

I’m doing a rice/chicken/broccoli thingy for tea and I always do way too much, so you could have that with us. I made a cake earlier too, so that can do for afters.

HarridansOfUsAll · 09/06/2024 15:04

One of the unidentified tupperwares in the freezer whose nature is not clear until defrosted.

That are all orangey brown, no matter what.

Ia241 · 09/06/2024 15:29

It would have to be cheese on toast. I tend to shop daily!

Or of you didn't like that, a takeaway or to the pub.

WeAllHaveWings · 09/06/2024 15:30

you are in luck, fridge is full as tesco was here earlier, but what I make depends on how much I like you and whether you brought wine 😂

something with chicken and jersey royals maybe

could stick bbq on and grill chicken, sausages and burgers in the fridge and serve with salad leaves, coleslaw, cheese, buns, pita - means we wouldn’t eat for rest of week though!)

GentlemanJohnny · 09/06/2024 15:30

A small portion of lamb curry. We've enough for 3 (just) but 4 would be pushing it.
