Women who say they are happy single secretly desperately want to be in a relationship. (And the 'single women are the happiest' poll that was done some years ago is a massive crock of shit, and most of the people polled were single women kidding themselves that they're happy single.)
Being a mother is way better than being child free.
Women secretly want to stay at home and have their husband bring in the money whilst they play homemaker. Most women do not want to be 'career women' they want to be looked after, and stay at home as a lady of leisure.
Weddings these days are ridiculous, with too much money spent, and ludicrous hen weekends (often abroad,) that nobody actually wants to go to. Also most weddings are too long. I have been to THREE in the past 2 years that were 10-12 hours long. They are fucking exhausting. I am turning down ALL wedding invitations for the next 5 years, (except my DC.)
Some people are genuinely jealous of people in social housing, and bitter that they don't have it.
