I'll go first ...

B&M is over rated

Most of the home decor is tacky
I can get cleaning products at in the supermarket without a separate trip.
It's not super cheap like people say when you really compare the prices

I'm actually scared to post this one because I'll sound heartless.

IVF....... is morally and ethically the worst scientific/medical breakthrough. For society as a whole- there are way too many negatives ( just want to say I'm not judging anyone for choosing/needing IVF)

There are too many people in the world.

There are too many children that need to be adopted or fostered into a loving home.

Aside from illness/injury- there is usually a biological/genetic reason for infertility.

The hope IVF brings has a worrying negative impact on mental health- the devastation of it not working/miscarriages, the debt people get into and the breakdown of relationships. The anxiety of finally having the child you want, then not actually enjoying parenthood because its draining, keeping those feelings to yourself because you think you should love every single moment- good or bad for the child you always wanted.

I think the success rate is something like 30% to give birth, if you're under 30. The success rate drastically falls thr older you get.

It should not be funded by the NHS.

The health impact on the child, working in a neonatal unit, about 70% of babies were conceived via IVF. I have not researched this myself but a medical colleague told me that children born via IVF are more likely to need IVF to have their own children.

Stop fight about fucking bacon on this thread.

I don't give a shit if you wrap your Nan in pasty and eat her. Get off my thread with your pointless fights. This was meant to be fun and you have ruined it.

If you carry on I'll just delete the whole thread

how are you going to do that then?

Lottelenya · 21/05/2024 21:39

@whiteroseredrose in my 58 years of living sadly I’ve seen it time after time, be it at work, school gates. Then again I guess it depends upon where you are in the female hierarchy/pecking order ? Seen some awful competitiveness and backstabbing when it comes to promotions etc Not necessarily directed at me btw.

Justcats · 21/05/2024 21:40

These threads are never fun.

@StrictlyAFemaleFemale

Gilmore Girls is shit

You've crossed a line with that opinion 😡😡😡🤣🤣🤣

Bring back national service, so if you choose to come to our country (up to age 26) or were born here, you do our national service and pledge your allegiance this country. This is everyone, without exception.

Edited

🤮 I live here because this is where my mother pushed me out of her vagina. Pure chance.

If it becomes dangerous, I will move. I pay tax, I use the services provided. But I don’t have any allegiance to this country otherwise.

So weird that people think just because someone was born somewhere they should be willing to fight for it. Usually because some jumped up narcissist decides to start a swinging dick contest.

Trans women are men
Piercing a child's ears is child abuse
Being fat is a choice (excluding disability / medication)
The NHS shouldn't be treated as a scared cow
NT kids should be capable of sitting at a dinner table without a screen (especially in restaurants)

Yes.

A lot of people are not introverts, they just use the term to cover for being lazy and anti social.

Cover blown

Round3333 · 21/05/2024 22:04

They have good crisps

Garlicked · 21/05/2024 22:09

People who harp on about overpopulation rarely seem committed enough to relieve the planet of the burden of their own presence.

Agree that IVF is morally and ethically unsound. So are surrogate pregnancies.

There's no such thing as a trans child.

Out of interest and I'm making assumptions based on your username, so I genuinely apologise if I'm wrong, but did you adopt? Or does the 'overpopulation' opinion only fall on the shoulders of those who struggle to get pregnant or maintain a pregnancy?

Shouldn't all people adopt or foster instead of conceiving naturally to ease the burden of overpopulation?

Should we allow Ill people to just die to lower the population?

Taylor swift is an essential man eater, that in my opinion has relationships just so she can write new albums, she’s got a good voice I’ll give her that but the way she goes about her music is crazy.

I'm not lazy. Definitely quite anti-social though, you know, being an introvert 🙂.

Aproductofmyera80s · 21/05/2024 22:30

most Teachers are diamonds, 99% of my kids teachers have been amazing, however there are some teachers out there, that are absolute assholes. The ones that thrive on the control, the ones that are angry at the world., have no idea how to talk to people properly. I’m fully aware kids, especially teens can be assholes too, but you chose that profession and there’s a level of professionalism to uphold.

Circumcising little boys ( I am looking at your America) is infant genital mutilation. Shocking, horrendous. Look up the tools they use it makes me ill. Apparently the foreskins are even sold by the hospitals for various reasons… absolutely SICK thing to do to anyone unless it’s ( very very very rarely) medical. Don’t even try and brainwash into thinking’s it’s a faith issue or cultural.. hell no… it’s infant abuse pure and simple.

That's not an unpopular opinion.

It's disgusting that still happens.

Realduchymarmalade · 21/05/2024 22:31

At least half of couples who divorce could have had a happy marriage if they went about things differently and committed to working through things

Realduchymarmalade · 21/05/2024 22:34

“happy mum happy baby“ only has a certain amount of truth in it and self care can and often does easily often tip into self indulgence

Notchangingnameagain · 21/05/2024 22:34

People who’s posts start with “I didn’t want to read in run” usually give the SHITTEST advice.

whiteroseredrose · 21/05/2024 19:20

Yes. It suggests they prefer you to look prepubescent.

I prefer my men shaved or trimmed to 3mm.
See how I wrote "men"?
I am 100% not into bedding tween children.
But I don't like the smell of unwashed hair and it getting into my mouth.

Also, as I am not sitting in dirt all day chewing mammoth flesh I do shave myself as I don't need fur to protect me from anything as I wear two layers of clothes and wash myself in clean water.

Realduchymarmalade · 21/05/2024 22:37

“As long as they are reading I don’t mind“ is poor parenting. David Walliams, diary of a wimpy kid etc is woeful fodder for a developing mind

Reported you, OP, for blasphemy 😂

I agree with you a bit that some of the home wear is shite, and that its not always that much cheaper than the supermarket.

But, they have absolutely everything in there under one roof. Their plants (indoor and outdoor) are amazing and un-killable. They sell completely random food stuff that you can't physically get anywhere else.

You can’t kill a plastic plant though, not unless you set it alight.

Blahblahblabbaba · 21/05/2024 22:40

Potato is a filler, not a meal and not flavoursome at that

Mince can be horrible and picking gristle out makes me feel sick as I imagine eyelids and bits of anus..

I don't understand why people get married - both couples regularly seem to end up resenting each other and cheating - surely people have twigged everyone thinks "this is my person!" at the start?
