Would you pay 8K for this?

All inclusive for a week in Greece.

I have fallen in love with the place, love the muted tones.

But is any all inclusive holiday for 7 nights worth £8,000? For 2 adults and 2 DC

I spend around £3k and find the places I go are really nice. Would it really be worth the extra £5k?

I don't have that kind of money, anyway Grin but genuinely interested to see if that type of place is worth it when you can go someone very nice for 2-3K

Not for a Tui holiday I wouldn’t, but I would pay that would a holidayz

CatamaranViper · 15/05/2024 12:47

I would have thought for that money you could go somewhere more 'once in a life time-y' than Corfu.
I do like Corfu but I know you can get a decent holiday there for much less

ByUmberViewer · 15/05/2024 12:48

Linky no worky

FiveTreeHill · 15/05/2024 12:48

If I had 8k 🤣

It looks amazing, and if I was rich that's the sort of place I'd love to go. But I wouldnt drop 8k on 1 week all inclusive unless that was the sort of money I had lying around.

NisekoWhistler · 15/05/2024 12:51

Ikos properties are exceptional. Only you know if you've got £8k to drop on a week's holiday

Spirallingdownwards · 15/05/2024 12:53

That final link worked. It looks great and it is in their Deluxe Collection and has menus from Michelin starred chefs so I guess you get what you pay for.

EmilyBronte82 · 15/05/2024 12:53

Oh yes Ikos and Sani (even better in my opinion). A friend of mine does Sani and Ikos back to back!! Imagine having £20k to drop on a holiday!!

Without me googling, are Ikos and Sani resort names or places? Or just part of TUI chain? Blush

Where are you finding AI for a week for a family of four in the school holidays at £2-3k?

RenoSweeney · 15/05/2024 13:06

Ikos is lovely, and definitely a step up from the usual, hence the cost. Service is exceptional though and you get a lot for an AI, particularly if you stay in the deluxe rooms.

Revelatio · 15/05/2024 13:08

No, not on a Tui holiday, but I would spend that on a different holiday.

Ikos and Sani are the names of the groups. I vaguely recall Ikos being a spin-off of Sani but I could be wrong.

Ikos is a fantastic range of hotels. We went to the Ikos on Kos in 2019 when it had only been open a couple of weeks. Then stayed at the Olivia the same summer. Booked to go again in 2020 but of course, lockdown buggered that up. Went to the Olivia in August 2022. Last ever holiday with my late wife so bittersweet memories.

It's all-inclusive ultra. Everything is top notch. Room service on the beach was great and we were never beach people before staying at an Ikos.

You will probably be very happy just staying on-site as it's so big but make use of the free car for a day to explore.

treatsortreating · 15/05/2024 13:14

Sorry to hear that @billyt

I am glad you have some lovely holiday memories together

@treatsortreating , it’s IKOS. We go to an IKOS resort at least once a year (no children). IKOS resorts are exceptional, if you’re happy with your £3K holiday don’t ever set foot in an IKOS resort because it will ruin it for you.

specialk9 · 15/05/2024 13:27

What do people mean by a TUI holiday ? 😆 you know they do all sorts, not just 3* Benidorm right?

Yes I would. Ikos and Sani are an exceptional level of family All Inclusive.

0tterish · 15/05/2024 13:43

All inclusive is just not for me, so no

emsyj37 · 15/05/2024 13:54

We spent £8.3k on 10 nights at Club Marvy in Turkey last year. It was OK. The food was really good, the resort was naice and all - but we still had to set an alarm to get up and reserve sunbeds, the flight times were inconvenient (night flights both ways) and overall I don't think we got value for money. All the kids want is a swimming pool and unlimited snacks at the end of the day. It would probably have been a different experience as a couple outside school holidays.

This year we're going on a holiday that costs half what we paid last year, and I'm expecting to enjoy it just as much or more.

FunnysInLaJardin · 15/05/2024 14:02

I would for a week at an IKOS resort. I've never been but they are supposed to be lovely

annabofana · 15/05/2024 14:07

No, definitely not.

It was a no from me before I'd opened the link.

I've opened the link now and it's still a firm no.

Muted tones are absolutely not worth £5k to me.

I would only pay £8k for a long haul holiday. Definitely not a fortnight all inclusive in Greece

Verite1 · 15/05/2024 14:10

Ha - I just knew it would be Ikos! Not been to Ikos, but have been to Sani (their sister chain) a couple of times. They are ultra luxury and I am sure you would have a wonderful time. But only you know if £8000 is worth it to you!
