This is our dog. She tends to do this when Tory MPs appear on the telly.

Tom Hunt now blaming his dyspraxia. Which is likely to be true but it’s kind of the point. People with SEN or disabilities shouldn’t be denied the opportunity to vote because they can’t help losing stuff.

Or people who are just disorganised really.

I wonder if it will make him reflect on the policy?

RafaistheKingofClay · 02/05/2024 18:11

Doesn’t seem to have. He’s just ripping into Labour for taking the piss out of his disability. Which I don’t think they were doing.

It was more they were pointing out he’s a hypocritical bell end.

Tory MPs really are the comedy gift that keeps on giving at the moment.

Do they have some kind of media plan that says. PM is going to announce new policy.
Lets highlight it by doing something utterly stupid the next day.

Something about Leopards eating people's faces springs to mind

I have it on good authority that Boris Johnson was turned away from the polling station in Brightwell-cum-Sotwell in Oxfordshire for not having correct ID #LocalElections

RafaistheKingofClay · 02/05/2024 19:15

BIossomtoes · 02/05/2024 19:52

You really couldn’t make it up.

HannibalHeyes · 02/05/2024 19:54

Imagine the joy felt by that person turning de Pfeffel away from the Polling Station...

itsgettingweird · 02/05/2024 19:57

Voted!!

And ds voted for his first time today too Smile

Notonthestairs · 02/05/2024 19:59

I suspect Johnson deliberately forgot his ID (with an aw shucks, little old hilarious me schtick) because he can't cope with being an irrelevance in this election.
Waving to his fan base - remember meeeeeeee.
Twat.

Bet he felt really good. I vividly remember the first time I voted. It was the first time I felt like a proper grown up.

Probably. Also a way to disclaim it as an idea he was responsible for.

To give his fans a reason to squeal 'but Angela Rayner'

Who introduced the law on voter ID?

Notonthestairs · 02/05/2024 20:34

Johnson can't be held responsible for what went on whilst he was PM - there was a free bar.

Pretty certain he'd have voted Labour too - bet he's desperate for Sunak to get a drubbing.

Notonthestairs · 02/05/2024 20:54

I’m slightly late to this, but the recent fall in the number of visa applications from health and social care workers is truly remarkable. Down from 18,300 applicants in August 2023 to 2,400 in March 2024.

This is not good news.
I'm sure many people will dismiss the impact of this but I can only assume they haven't had to find care for a vulnerable relative.
