Back from a day at the seaside with a friend and his two ferrets to so much good news!

Rumour has it that Susan Hall has won West Midlands.

Er, nope you can't breezily mention taking ferrets to the seaside without mentioning if they had an ice cream.

I hope you didn't waste time naming them, when you could have been getting on with knowing what a woman is.

Maybe Fox et al can go there and mix with their like-minded brethren. No one else wants them. They could happily then live in their Tory bubble thinking everyone likes them and they rule.

Talking of Fox, how long until the London Assembly results come in.

There is something I admire about Sunak. He says he is "disappointed" with the local election results.

He must be made of sterner stuff than most of us, since disappointed sailed passed a long time ago and for any normal ego we are approaching somewhere near the I must be the most useless lettuce leader the world has ever seen stage.

Am I wrong in thinking that only a pretty tiny number of councils were up for election this time as a whole?

ULEZ has been blown up (literally when it comes to the cameras) in Bromley. It certainly lead to a nasty atmosphere and a lot of broken traffic lights as the idiots who oppose ULEZ cut down the cameras and the lights. So pretty regressive stuff.

Ice cream is very bad for ferrets, so no. They had some delicious pureed chicken, some water, a good old dig in the shingle and a lot of attention from people on the sea front.

My friend has fairly serious mental health issues, the ferrets are what keeps him well and grounded, and going out is massively good for him. And he is a very lovely person.

There is to be a full recount in Coventry in the West Midlands mayoral race.

As a native midlander rerooted further south, I am immensely proud that, if nothing else, they’ve put the wind up the tories 😁

The only time I have been out in Bromley was the same year Page 3 was stopped. It was literally the only thing everyone talked about for most of the night and they were all furious, saying it "took away women's choice", if you can believe it! I didn't make any friends and was alarmed at how many people there seemed to personally know a P3 model. I think an up-skirting Tory would probably be worshipped there quite happily.

I think I posted a while ago about the Biggin Hill area being very aggressively anti-ULEZ with posters on their FB groups vandalising cameras and spray painting signs and posting them for lolz. It didn't surprise me at all when the Tory's were pointed out as behind that.

Sorry if it came across as teasing pointy. Ferrets were quite standard pets from my part of the world - they are very sociable and nosey. I just liked the idea of them on a day trip. I'm glad your friend has pets & you in his life.
