I’m all for tweaks! But only if it looks better. I don’t think this looks good on her

I wouldn’t be averse to some tweaks if I had the money but when I see people like Holly W who could afford the very best but still end up looking odd, it puts me off.

Whatever she has or hasn't done is it ok for anyone to comment really? It's not very progressive for others to critique another especially on a public forum. Why can't we all just mind our own business and say nothing?

Take your own advice then and don’t comment on this thread or others comments, if you feel that way inclined

I’m not

I think she’s gorgeous, I don’t think she needs filler and belive it’s negatively affected her looks. In a business where she makes a lot of money on her looks- then people are gona comment

OP posts:
RaininSummer · 21/04/2024 13:02

I dont know anything about her face but I thought she was wearing a dressing gown with a luggage tag on it.

NiceDayatlast · 21/04/2024 13:02

She looks a bit puffed up but otherwise she still looks like her.

Axx · 21/04/2024 13:05

She looks the same as always. His cost is horrific.

patchworkpal · 21/04/2024 13:10

Why are you obsessed with her face?

No, why did she ask you?

No so I'm not going to analyse her appearance

I’d love to know what your definition of obsessed is?

The photo makes it look like she’s overdone the lip fillers - hopefully not and it’s just a bad camera angle.

shenandoahvalley · 21/04/2024 13:14

Whatever her look, it’s not as bad as the pious “can’t we move on from commenting on a woman’s face” posts 🙄

It’s totally contrary to human nature to NOT notice another human’s appearance. It’s basic instinct, and necessary to navigating life. This is a discussion forum. It’s for discussing things. From whether a woman’s vulva looks ok, to whether a relationship is healthy, to weather this or that food choice is healthy - everything.

If people are above publicly commenting on another woman’s appearance, they don’t need to comment. It’s beneath me to comment on the “how old do I look?”, “what do you think of these shoes?” etc threads, I find them irrelevant and boring. So I don’t comment. Holly Willoughby chooses to put her face on TV in order that it be seen by millions of people. She has zero standing to people commenting on her appearance. It would be an utterly hypocritical twilight zone if a person deliberately puts themselves in the public eye and then complains when people behave like actual people.

loveitt · 21/04/2024 13:17

I remember Leslie Ash having
lip fillers decades before this current trend
and being totally traumatised and career damaged by it, as they were very swollen, ie just like many today, but not the fashion back then. How times have changed...

walnutcoffeecake · 21/04/2024 13:17

I was watching a something the other day about fillers and having work done.
And omg it dont make anyone look younger it makes them look older.
Big lips puffy faces scruffy hair and a face over done with make-up.Sometimes all you need is a good sunblock chap stick and tie your hair back or clip it up.Sorry to say it but some people just look rough but think they look good. Some have started to look the same as each other.

Prawncow · 21/04/2024 13:19

It’s not another human’s appearance, it’s a woman’s appearance. 99 times out of 100 it’s a woman’s appearance. I won’t shut up about that. It’s a feminist issue.

The feminist issue here is that women are led to believe that tweaks and fillers are somehow necessary and that the frozen, puffy look somehow makes them look younger/fresher.

What a lovely post 🙄 Haven’t we moved on from criticising women’s opinions in 2024?

No, why would we have? What’s wrong with debating and criticising someone’s opinions?

I think it's a shame when women fill their face with botox and fillers @Solgrass but I can't see that Holly looks any different to what she usually looks like. I think I may need to see better photos.

It’s not a feminist issue fgs. 99/100 it’s women who have lip filler and whatever other treatments. Are you saying Simon Cowell hasn’t been criticised for his treatments and appearance?

Lip filler is the least feminist of all the discrimination women experience even if you did want to incorrectly make it an gendered issue. Seriously.

Prawncow · 21/04/2024 13:31

That is a feminist issue. The underlying problem is that is that women face much more scrutiny and judgement over their appearance than men. Wear make up, you’re judged. Don’t wear make up, you’re judged. Use fillers and Botox, you’re judged. Don’t use fillers and Botox and you’re judged. My personal stance is that the easiest thing to do is stop judging women over the choices they make and ask when was the last time you looked at Dermot O’Leary’s skin? Has Ben Shephard had too much done? Don’t know or care? Then why care about Holly Willoughby.
