Why hasn’t a major national paper proof read an (non news) article before publishing it 🙄…..

“The TV power couple were spotted taking their doc for a walk in a park local to their home, wrapping up against the cold with a warm coat…”

Bobbotgegrinch · 21/04/2024 15:56

Solgrass · 21/04/2024 15:49

See this is what I mean. I haven’t called anyone names. Yet you’re trying to take the moral high ground by throwing a misogynistic slur at me ? How does that work? @Bobbotgegrinch

Edited

Fine, we'll go with a misandrist slur instead. You're being more of a dick than I am because you're being unpleasant about someone's looks, whereas I'm being unpleasant about your behaviour.

Happy now?

She's messed up her beautiful face with fillers. It's not anti feminist to notice when women mess up their faces and comment on it

It is absolutely anti feminist to talk about someone ‘messing up their beautiful face’ by exercising her own choice over it. Women don’t have have to look beautiful for you or anyone else. If she likes the way she looks, that’s all that matters, and if a woman likes having fillers, getting Botox done or tattooing their face with bloody leopard spots it is absolutely anti feminist to criticise her for making herself less ‘beautiful’ in your eyes.

Hmm, but the aesthetic/fashion choices are not made in a vacuum, but in a social context of pressure on women to look younger, exaggerate feminine features, sexualisation.

Solgrass · 21/04/2024 15:57

I don’t think it will be a lot of filler. Maybe 1mm or she could have had Botox in the top lip…seemingly that gives a plump effect too but so don’t know anyone that’s used this.

I think the trouble is that fillers/Botox initially give a good result - it's when you keep going back for more and more that the problems happen. I was horrified seeing Amanda Holden on ITV the other day and Holly is going the same way. Ironically it ages women much quicker than natural aging does....

I feel horribly sad that women feel that they need to go down this road in the first place. Aging is a perfect natural process.

I did wonder if this was the case. I saw a post called "when Botox goes wrong" once. Scared me off ever having it. I don't like the fine lines I'm getting but thankfully they are smile lines and not frown lines. I'll just keep moisturising and applying sunscreen and see what happens 🙈

Thank goodness I am not a feminist, I can now bitch away and laugh at the mess celebrities are making of their faces/looks.

if you believe that throwing slurs is the best way to forward your point that I’m the unpleasant person, then go ahead. Call me all the names you wish

I think she hasn’t done anything to her face. She’s just ageing naturally 🤷🏼‍♀️

Don't be daft. She's had every tweak going, hence her looking like Carol Channing.

Moonshine5 · 21/04/2024 16:55

HW was highly average to begin with; however she clearly has access to good doctors / stylists, etc (not so much PR lol #queuegate) and overall looks more put together than she did 10 years ago. Personally I don't think her side fringe is flattering to her.

IRL you can 9 times out of 10 tell most nips / tweaks/ Botox people have had.

Exitstrategist · 21/04/2024 16:56

Anyone know where she got the hat? Love it

Workhardcryharder · 21/04/2024 16:58

LlynTegid · 21/04/2024 12:31

Her choice if some work has been done, just hope no queue jumping!!

Surely no one ACTUALLY cared about that

PupInAPram · 21/04/2024 16:58

Anybody got a picture of her dog? Love a pup paparazzi I do!

Yes, really average looking, She only looks nice cos she has lots of money, a personal trainer, nannies, personal chef, cosmetic surgery etc.
Just like KW and anyone else who is slim and beautiful

You could throw all that money at average-looking (I hope) me and I'd still be crap at her job.

Difference is you’ve used a public forum asking a question and people will give you an answer you like or don’t like but you’ve put the question out there. Holly is walking with her husband minding her own business and people like you think you have a right to pass judgement on her looks. Doesn’t matter if you like what she’s had done or not it’s her face not yours. It’s not wonder people have tweaks and things done when random people constantly criticise them

"minding her own business" ffs she called the photographers. Like each and every one of the celebrities do. How are people naive to this? This is indeed a public forum on the internet, not a support group and people can ask any question they want. Who made you the guardian of the web?

Lassiata · 21/04/2024 17:02

@solgrass nice women can give opinions for sure but interesting women give opinions about more interesting things.

Oh I think people did - it was a bit of a turning point in public opinion for her and Schofield, and I think gave the media the appetite to take him down over something that was probably well-known already in those circles.

For celebs that rely on being likeable it was a stupid move.

BeardyButton · 21/04/2024 17:05

Solgrass · 21/04/2024 12:52

Nice women don’t give opinions though?

Opinions? Christ… don’t you have any other ones to share? Ones on politics? Ethics? Climate? The economy?

No… you save your freedom of speech for other women’s bodies and faces. I’m not actually sure that b”tching about other women’s faces can be considered an opinion!

I don't like her face either way, that is my judgement. I judge all the time, daily, several times on several things. It is normal to judge also known as having an opinion, if you are a human.

I think she looks better than usual there so in answer to your question - improved it! Mumsnet has such a hatred for any cosmetic tweaks but they don’t always look bad

I wonder about that. I'm older and no one my age that I know has anything done but I know people always seems to say it looks awful/you can always tell etc but is it just at the extreme or unfortunate that is looks awful and you can tell. Are there lots of people out there who have had things done well and no one notices or just thinks they look like they've had a good holiday or something.

Personally I think ageing gracefully is over rated, I'd love to look young again.

No, like another poster said. Only interesting women post interesting things.

I don’t post anything interesting I’m afraid, that’s why this is trending. Go figure
