On a public forum commenting about a public figure, who has made millions from her looks…being in public.

I think the trouble is that fillers/Botox initially give a good result - it's when you keep going back for more and more that the problems happen. I was horrified seeing Amanda Holden on ITV the other day and Holly is going the same way. Ironically it ages women much quicker than natural aging does....

I feel horribly sad that women feel that they need to go down this road in the first place. Aging is a perfect natural process.

Yes she is in the public like many others, doesn’t mean it’s ok to be judged just because she’s in the public eye. Yes we all know celebrities get judged good and bad…. Doesn’t mean it’s ok to do so

"The TV power couple were spotted taking their doc for a walk in a park local to their home, wrapping up against the cold with a warm coat."
No wonder it's so difficult to get an appointment.

I can’t imagine why women who’re on tv have Botox and fillers. It’s not like random people are constantly critiquing their appearance online …

Exactly this.

What a lovely post 🙄 Haven’t we moved on from criticising women’s opinions in 2024?

Grow up OP.

KreedKafer · 21/04/2024 15:30

She's messed up her beautiful face with fillers. It's not anti feminist to notice when women mess up their faces and comment on it

It is absolutely anti feminist to talk about someone ‘messing up their beautiful face’ by exercising her own choice over it. Women don’t have have to look beautiful for you or anyone else. If she likes the way she looks, that’s all that matters, and if a woman likes having fillers, getting Botox done or tattooing their face with bloody leopard spots it is absolutely anti feminist to criticise her for making herself less ‘beautiful’ in your eyes.

You sound very mature. Thanks for that incredible insight

I hope she likes it and doesn’t feel pressured into going for the puffy, frozen look because the beauty and media industry have decided that it makes women look younger - perish the thought that women be allowed to grow older in the same way men are.

Way more mature than you. You sound incredibly childish.

Solgrass · 21/04/2024 15:39

Just like to throw out there to all the lovely women who have condemned those who comment on this celeb for using filler.

So far, I’ve been called ugly, implied that I’m unemployed; that I’m immature, posting in bad faith, anti feminist etc.

Can you lot not see the ugliness that you post? Pity there ain’t an injectable for that.

I haven't called you any of those things but still think it's a depressing subject

Why would we stop criticising opinions? Some people have fucking stupid opinions.

I do not understand why some people feel the need to drag others down. You started a thread specifically to make a dig at a woman's appearance. It's just a really crappy thing to do.

That’s fine. You find it depressing. I don’t. I like a bit of celeb gossip.

I haven’t said anything nasty to anyone, yet the posters preaching the good word seem to have an uncanny knack putting their point across in the most uncivilised of manners (not aimed at you)

"What has Holly done to her beautiful face?"

In what universe is that not a dig?

If you're going to be a twat at least own it.

Solgrass · 21/04/2024 15:49

She's messed up her beautiful face with fillers. It's not anti feminist to notice when women mess up their faces and comment on it. Fillers need to go out of fashion immediately. They look awful.

Hear, hear!

Famous and semi famous women really shouldn't be perpetuating chemical alterations that increasing numbers of young women now feel compelled to undergo for no reason whatsoever.

Hopebridge · 21/04/2024 15:54

I haven't had this done but do wonder does it swell and then settle down? Just thinking perhaps it would settle? I'm a similar age and have known others in my friendship group starting to get "tweaks" done. It must be very difficult being in the public eye. I notice my face aging even though others around me say they don't. It's a self conscious time. Saying that I feel grateful to have my health when some around me don't.

Anyway. I think she looks ok and still beautiful. She looked better before but hopefully they will settle down.
