many lovely things have been discontinued that I really enjoyed growing up, Burton's potato puffs, the original Ringos crisps as they were in the 80s & early 90s. Topic bars, Riva chocolate bars. plus many many more
what do you really miss that they no longer make?

Quattro - green fizzy drink. In my recollection, it wasn't too sweet - which I find most non-alcoholic drinks to be.

Haagan Daaz vanilla ice-cream with chocolate syrup running through it.

Dark chocolate Mars Bar ice creams.

M&S (& Waitrose) Choc Truffle Dipping Sauce - they both only go their salted caramel one now. Used to be perfect to take out on a hot day for a picnic - you actually wanted it to get warm so it went runny. Then you dipped strawberries into it.

Quattro ! No one remembers this drink except us two! 🤣

Kettle chips Mango chilli

Halloweenrainbow · 13/04/2024 21:25

Chewy fruit sweets they used to sell in Woolies or Poundies in the 80s & 90s. I can't remember what they were called. They were flat and about the size of a stick of chewing gum and came individually wrapped and in a net bag.

Choccy cupcakes

I'd forgotten about these. Absolutely delicious!

OliviaFlaversham · 13/04/2024 21:29

The cheese and bean wrap Tesco did in its sandwich fridge. It was always the first to go so I cannot understand why it was stopped.

Roysters cheese and chive crisps.

OliviaFlaversham · 13/04/2024 21:31

At secondary school in the 90s, spring rolls were really pancakey and had a gravy type middle with the veg. They were utterly delicious.

Tango paradise punch tastes like Quattro used to, but it is way too sweet for me.

Edenmum2 · 13/04/2024 21:36

Tesco did a dark chocolate, strawberry and black pepper luxury popcorn that was just out of this world. I think about it all the time.

Birds Eye Inspirations King Prawns with Sweet Chilli, these were frozen prawns with a sweet chilli coconutty sauce in a bag baked in the oven.

Used to love these as a quick meal served with boiled rice.

Chambourcy strawberry and champagne mousse. It was perfect

renomeno · 13/04/2024 21:48

Or maybe 'Wham' chews? Pretty sure they are still available...

8misskitty8 · 13/04/2024 21:49

Smiths tubes crisps. (Like squares but rolled into a tube shape)
Toffos
Pyramid mint
golden cup chocolate bar
Spira chocolate bar
Yoyo biscuits - mint or toffee

Birds Eye potatoe fritters

I loved those. Especially as a sandwich with brown sauce.

Devastated999 · 13/04/2024 21:55

There was a green sour bar similar to the wham bar. It started with a G, something like Gorgon Bar, but not that name. My Dad used to let me have one from the garage every Sunday when he filled the tank of the Escort mark 1 with £10 of petrol for the week.

NavyTiger · 13/04/2024 21:57

Coconut boost bars yummy 😋

FatOaf · 13/04/2024 22:01

Anyone remember “London Grill?” Came in an orangey tin, was baked beans, pork sausage and tiny bits of chopped kidney… was bloody lovely , ideal lunch with some toast.
Really want some now🥲

You can still get the very similar Full Monty and All Day Breakfast. No kidney, though.

Like a trip down memory lane, this thread!
I had completely forgotten about Pacers (I liked the stripy ones) and the assorted Toffos. Lovely! Oh and the Pink Panther bar of chocolate that was pink!
Does anyone remember the Cadburys (I think) selection bar of chocolate? It was like a box of chocolates in a bar!

Not Fruit Salad or Wham. Each chew was a different flavour and in different colour wrapper. They had a softer texture than Wham or Moam. The flavour was mild and creamy more like a thin Fruitella. Apple flavour was my favourite.

Halloweenrainbow · 13/04/2024 22:42

Just realised how many sweeties I've tried over the years, lol.

HRTQueen · 13/04/2024 23:03
