many lovely things have been discontinued that I really enjoyed growing up, Burton's potato puffs, the original Ringos crisps as they were in the 80s & early 90s. Topic bars, Riva chocolate bars. plus many many more
what do you really miss that they no longer make?

These too. Sob.

There was a dessert that I think of every now and then.

It was called Charisma (I think) and it was a raspberry sorbet type thing surrounded by a white dessert thing. It was shaped like artic roll.

This was absolutely years ago so the details may not be accurate.

Loved it.

R Whites raspberry lemonade. It was so delicious. Discontinued a few years ago, much to our family's distress.

Not RTFT but you can get this in wetherspoons.

Yes! Orangina - used to be nectar of the gods - undrinkable now

MyBigFatGreekSalad · 13/04/2024 20:06

Echo chocolate bars 💔

Floofsquidge · 13/04/2024 20:09

Proper c1980s Ice Magic. Smuckers is just not the same. Came in a triangle bottle with a cap to look like a melting mountain peak.

GrandTheftWalrus · 13/04/2024 20:27

Coconut toffee crisps.
Toast toppers

Heinz boil in the tin puddings

Oh yessss! Loved these, the syrup one, raspberry jam, spotted dick but especially the chocolate!👌 Happy days, lovely with some hot custard!

Also miss fruit polos, Fry’s 5 centres, a chocolate bar called Banjo (wafer and bits of chopped nuts covered in chocolate) Cadburys Country Style, with raisins and biscuits, and my fave ever drink… Tango Grapefruit!

Birdseye fish in vegetable and tuscany sauce was nice. not seen that in a while.

Was this in a foil container that you baked ? I liked this too. Also boil in the bag cod in cheese sauce - you can only get butter or parsley sauce now. And many years ago I used to buy fish mini-kiev balls - they were like the frozen turkey mini Kievs but were fish instead .

I liked the cheese flavour crispy pancakes and so many of the chocolate bars mentioned on here .

Toffo, especially the assorted ones. In the 80s, Sainsburys did these things called breakfast slices, a cross between bacon and a sort of grilled salami. They were delicious.

I remember those Sainsburys breakfast slices, they were lovely. I still miss those too.

Anyone remember “London Grill?” Came in an orangey tin, was baked beans, pork sausage and tiny bits of chopped kidney… was bloody lovely , ideal lunch with some toast.
Really want some now🥲

FatOaf · 13/04/2024 21:05

Fruit Polos. Yes, it was a long time ago. Yes, I'm still cross.

I bought fruit polos in a convenience store last year.

Just looked it up and Nestlé stopped production in December 2023.

Fluffywigg · 13/04/2024 21:06

Birds Eye potatoe fritters

PhilosophicalCheeseSandwich · 13/04/2024 21:11

Tomato snaps

I had a bag of these today!
Brannigans in all flavours need to come back. Also dark chocolate Bounty.

unsync · 13/04/2024 21:12

Puffa Puffa Rice and Haunted House ice lollies.

ItIsifISayItIs · 13/04/2024 21:13

I’m on a roll now😆

Fussells tinned cream… funny taste, but was ok on a trifle… cheaper than real cream. Assuming it was sterilised cream?

Lucozade - before it was tainted by whatever muck is in it now… that cellophane-wrapped bottle saved me from ‘certain death’ in childhood many times! A glass of that while watching Crown Court on ITV at lunchtimes
not skiving school and I was soon up and about.

Tree Top squash… orange and pineapple flavour…again, one for when you were poorly - never got drank otherwise!

I suspect the were made from “meat” of unspecified origin.

Lwrenn · 13/04/2024 21:20

80s calpol was delicious. How more kids didn't go ham on it and need their stomachs pumping is beyond me.

I loved secret bars and also a Cadbury bar with milk and white chocolate, not sure if it was called top deck?
Fuse bars.

Crisps that used to be laden with msg!

I can't remember if this was a real thing or not, I was hyper as a child anyway so it wouldn't have made a huge difference but did blue smarties really send kids wild or was it a rumour?

SiobhanSharpe · 13/04/2024 21:20

Heinz Fiery Chili tomato ketchup. Had a real kick.
You can sometimes get it on eBay -- for a price!
And the two Sara Lee frozen cakes mentioned upthread, the iced Pecan Danish and the Chocolate Fudge.
(you used to be able to get the Pecan Danish at Marine Ices in Chalk Farm.)
