Inspired by yesterday's thread of the bill splitting karma, which was very uplifting to read, can anyone share any stories where CF got their come uppence? These will be a wonderful read for all especially victims of CF!
I don't have any to offer I am afraid...

My husband had a lifelong childhood friend. His friend's fiancé thought he wasn't good enough and told his friend that he couldn't have my hubby as a best man . They chose a best man who in her eyes was a professional from a middle class family .

This best man turned up drunk at the wedding and was so drunk he couldn't barely get his speech out and couldn't read the cards ( many years ago ) He had to sit down halfway through and then run out of the room to vomit 🤮 The brides face was a picture and we laughed like drains in the way home .

I have nc'd because I have told this story plenty of times IRL.

My exH was abusive - physically, mentally, financially. Cheated on me whilst pregnant. Gaslit me constantly. Just the worst of the worst.

After we split up, he started dating someone and by the sounds of it, fell really hard for her. She was a young widow with 2 kids. Things seemed to be going really nicely - my DD liked her and the children. Ex seemed to be treating her well... until it all emerged she had been having an affair with her dead husband's brother.

I found it really hard to feel sorry for him 😬🤣

When I was a teen commuting by train. I was cold tired end of day wanting to get home. There was snow on the ground. I went to work in wellies and had my lovely court shoe stilettos with metal heel tips in a plastic bag.

This was when trains had cradle luggage racks above the seating.

A bald headed man barged me out the way to get the last available seat in the carriage. He gave me a snug look and I stood in the aisle. I put my plastic bag in the rack. The train lurched forward and the jolt dislodged my shoes. One after the other they fell bonking him on his bald head. It must have hurt and I gave zero fucks as I gave the world’s most insincere apology .

Still gives me enormous satisfaction looking back Grin

Doing 30 in a 30 zone. Car behind too close, obviously itching to get past. Slowed down just a little, they overtook, and promptly got flashed by a speed camera.

Someone I knew was the drummer in a band. Had a lovely wife and one night he turned up where I was with another woman in tow. So of course his marriage breaks up and he moves in with this new woman. Spends time fixing up her house (with his money) and after a few months she told him the fun was over, time to go! he asked for the money spent on the house and she produced a book which listed all the gigs he had done with the band, where they were and how much he got paid. perhaps the Inland Revenue would be interested? needless to say he left without any argument.

Not me but my nan years ago and I've never forgotten it.

She was waiting for her bus and thought she spotted a £1 coin on the pavement. Bent down to get it (admitted she was chuffed Grin). Another lady at the bus stop darted forward, almost pushing my nan out of the way saying "that's mine - I just dropped it". My nan moved aside only to realise that it was a bottle top and said "you're welcome to it"

A few years ago I was out with a friend and we indicated to pull into a car parking space on the other side of the road. As we waited for a gap in traffic, a CF in a flash car nipped into the space. There is no way he could have missed us. We grumbled and signalled our displeasure as he performatively looked in the other direction. We soon found another space nearby.

After lunch we headed back to the car to find some masonry had fallen from a building and landed on his car bonnet, causing hefty damage. To top it all off, we saw him arrive at his car to discover it. Oh, how we laughed.

On the way home from work - double lane meeting into one. Heavy traffic. No lane had priority. Merging one by one - I let the car go on my left in front of me, and admired the car a very nice new Tesla and the driver thanked me- but the twat behind him wouldn’t let me in and shot forward. I looked across - not a bad look and he had his window and shouted ‘that’s right 4 eyes (!!😂😱) I don’t give way to no f**ing women’ and I just waved him on and thought rather have that idiot in front of me and he promptly smashed into full pelt into the brand new Tesla. All caught on my dash cam. The driver in the Tesla was furious and got out - twat man’s face was the total picture and I got out and said to nice Tesla man - are you ok. And he said are you happy to be a witness? And the twat man got asked ‘what the hell are you playing at look at my Tesla ?!’ I said ‘I can do better then witnessing I have all on dash cam including the words!’

Later wrote a statement for police and he got done for careless driving or something (didn’t go to court or at least I wasn’t required) karma

I used to be a big, fat, soft people pleaser

I also started working with a lady who had 4 kids and a useless 'I'm the man,I don't look after my own kids or do housework' husband

Anyway, she was stuck for childcare one Monday,so I offered to help out as I've been there myself as a single mum

Fast forward, and I'm doing every Monday and Tuesday and anytime she felt like it-all for free (she kissed the bosses arse and he put in a request so I didn't work Mondays or Tuesdays and shared my shifts with her so she knew if i was working or not and if not she'd show up and dump them on me)

The kids wouldn't have been fed and broke a lot of my (and dps) stuff-shed just laugh

I'd had enough,so put a stop to it

So out of sheer spite, boss promoted her to manager so she was above me

I didn't care, which got up a lot of nose's but life went on

(they both spent a lot of time trying to bring me down and being bitchy about me but I didn't really give a fuck and was going for other jobs-my colleagues could see what was happening and where very supportive)

Fast forward about 4 months and I was leaving a shift to go home

I cheerfully said 'bye guys, see you on friday' and left

Came back in-shed gone

I never saw her again

Turned out,her husband had not only had an affair, but had a whole other family-with 4 kids with the ow-who knew about her but didn't care and they lived about a mile from each other-he had a lot of time with the other family as id been babysitting the first lot

She walked out, taking the kids with her and lost everything-the house, husband, everything she owned-the lot

And boss man?

He was fired for being a creepy twat to young girls and assaulting one-they couldn't ignore the amount of young girls voices when they stood together and made complaints so got rid of him

Pipecleanerrevival · 04/04/2024 18:03

A woman on a plane years ago who started shouting at me because my baby was crying. An hour later my baby was asleep and her husband got violently sick and vomited for the rest of the flight. It felt good.

I drive a road regularly that used to be 40 but is now 30. One of my favourite hobbies is letting the dickheads overtake because they always get flashed. It warms the cockles.

ahoyhoyhoy · 05/04/2024 09:04

Bloke in a flash car went the wrong way round a car park to beat me to the last P&C space and gave me a totally smug look, both in the car park and when he saw 9 months pregnant me clearly in pain with my 1 year old in the supermarket. While he was patting himself on the back he tripped over his own foot. He didn’t fall on the floor or hurt himself thankfully but he looked so embarrassed and it made me feel nice 😍

Hi there, could you please tell me what NC stands for? I've seen a few people use it but it's not in the Mumsnet Talk Acronym list. Thank you!

Fraaahnces · 05/04/2024 15:17

NC means No Contact.

theworldie · 05/04/2024 15:19

It can also refer to No Contact which means cutting certain people out of your life

Laiste · 05/04/2024 15:19

NC = no contact i believe.

My karma one which springs to mind involves a tailgater.

Flashy blue car driving up my arse on bendy rural A road. He get round dangerously on a hill and a bend 🙄 having done the same to the car behind me and then does it to the car in front of me.

We 3 carry on up the road and about 5 mins later there he is on the grass verge with his flashy blue bonnet up, peering in at the engine ...

I laughed and the car behind me beeped and waved at him 😂

LakeTiticaca · 05/04/2024 15:36

I love these kind of posts. I'm sure I can dig a few out but one that stands out is when I was on a 2 lane stretch of motorway and the traffic had slowed to about 20 mph.i was in the inside lane and I spied a BMW coming up the hard shoulder sailing past all the traffic. I beeped my horn at him and he gave me the finger. What he hadn't realised was that I had seen, as the road curved round a bend, there was a police traffic vehicle on the hard shoulder. He started frantically indicating for someone to let him into the line of traffic but nobody would . He was bang to rights and I gave him a wave as I passed him parked right behind the cop car.
Oh it was delicious 😋 🤣🤣
