Any CF Karma stories

Inspired by yesterday's thread of the bill splitting karma, which was very uplifting to read, can anyone share any stories where CF got their come uppence? These will be a wonderful read for all especially victims of CF!
I don't have any to offer I am afraid...

Loving this thread but there seems to be a recurring theme with the driving posts - all BMWs 😁

BMW - aka British Middle-aged W*nkers!

Name changed because this is outing.

I am registered blind. In my first job my manager was a horrible, bullying bitch. She made a point of singling me out because I have a disability.

She told me that because I was disabled I would never be promoted.
Told me that accepting a lift home from a colleague was in appropriate and I must never do it again.
Fed my guide dog Haribo.
Used to organise team lunches which were out of town meaning you had to drive there and then told me that because of this I wouldn’t be able to go. She told the rest of the team that I’d said I couldn’t go so no-one would offer me a lift.

Someone eventually reported her to the company’s equal opportunities officer who pulled her in for a chat. She went ballistic. Halled me into the office and demanded that I tell the equal ops officer that whoever had made the report was being malicious and if I didn’t she would have no choice but to start disciplinary proceedings against me. I’d been offered another job by then so I handed in my resignation and left within a month.

I was 21 then and a lot less confident, it was my first job, and as someone with a disability I knew that to rock the boat would have made things more difficult for me.

Anyway, three months later she left the company and went to work in a managerial position at a different company. Apparently most were actually glad to see the back of her because turns out she was a bitch to others as well.

Anyway after just three months working for the other company they had a re-structure and she was made redundant. And because she hadn’t been there long she got 0 redundancy. And then to top it all it turned out that her DH had got her sister pregnant. Oh how I laughed.

IWantAShitzu · 07/04/2024 19:33

After years of infertility we were blessed with two children.

then came a little unplanned surprise, of which myself and my DH were shocked but really excited.

We were financially stable, owned our home and have a lovely marriage, yet a close family member decided to tell anyone that would listen how stupid she thinks we are, we will never cope etc.

two weeks later she had a shock of her own, is now single, living off benefits and constantly at war with her child’s dad.

Racist woman was constantly being snippy, on about how if black people were really clean they'd be 'white like we are.' Another of her pet rants was about homosexuals.
Daily Fail, her daily news source, ran a space-filler, random article about her son who had made an issue of something trivial. The article included a photograph of said son in full drag (he looked great!) cuddling up to a black guy. Debt paid.

This is a good one

So working at a bank, Investec, 2012. Short term contract. Tell boss Im pregnant so cant lift some files. Shes female and has 2 kids.

She takes ne to a side room, says underperforming and basically fires me gives me notice

Next day I put together a case, speak to HR. End up having to leave but getting £38k as settlement.

2 yrs later working at another bank see her coning in for an interview ;she doesnt see me. Tell the big boss. Hes horrified re fired for pregnant. Cancelled interview with her.

She now sells crafts on facebook. Hideous wonan, spoilt my pregnancy and reslly smashed my self esteem. If u cent be pregnant in 2010s in London and have career, where could you??

My first Saturday job when I turned 16 was in a dept. store restaurant. Me and a friend from school got jobs at the same time. The boss was a bit of a power trippy cowbag and wasn't nice to anyone.
About 6 months later I had a new job lined up. When people handed in their notice they would generally try and make their last day awful. But happily I had the next week booked off as holiday. She only realised late in the day that i wouldn't be in the next week to be subjected to her nastiness.
Instead, she was awful to my friend who had got the job at the same time, to the extent she made her cry and she decided to leave not long after. We were 16 FFS!
A couple of years later she turned up working at a sandwich shop near my college. That was good enough as she was no longer a manager so she would have hated it! A different friend ordered a sandwich and she charged her the wrong amount but kept arguing friend was wrong. Her manager came over to ask the problem and told her, she was wrong, my friend was right, and she needed to give her the right change. Watching her squirm was quite lovely.

Myself and a group of friends were sitting outside a riverside pub on a section of water that was locally notorious for flooding at high tides. There were several parking spots nearby with signs next to them warning anyone using the spaces that there was a flood risk. We are all rowers and know the water well and we also knew that there was a particularly high spring tide that day. Half the fun of drinking in that pub was that when the tide was high you literally got stuck in the pub. Anyway, a bloke parks up his nice car and walks past where we were sitting and my friend warned him that there was a high tide due in an hour or so and that he needs to shift his car before then. Instead of taking the well meaning advice he for some reason decided to be all sarcastic and quite rude in a 'how could you possibly know that' fashion. You can guess what happens next as we watched the tide come in, reach the care tyres, then the door frames, then the wheel arches and then the bonnet before retreating again. Sure enough the guy comes back, opens the car door to find a swimming pool inside. Oh how we laughed.

Many years ago working behind a bar at a function in the hotel I worked at. A very drunk man (I found out later he was a solicitor!) came to the bar. The music was very loud and I couldn't hear him.
He slurred his words asking for a drink, I explained I couldn't hear him, he grabbed me by my hair and pulled me over the bar and asked if I could hear him now. I regret to this day that I didn't ring the police and have him charged.
I found out two years later that he had died of meningitis!!

Chitterlina · 07/04/2024 20:55

Years ago, driving on a motorway. Two women v glammed up in a convertible with the roof down were driving really obnoxiously, culminating in undertaking me and not letting me move over to the inside lane. Traffic slowed right down and they were still alongside me to the left. My windscreen washer had a really good reach back then so I decided my windscreen needed a good wash… and so did they 😈

In this case it means name changed.

I was heavily pregnant, had the most horrendous neighbour she was putting up some decorations at the front of her house, heard me coming out to my car. Turned around to do the usual stare and fell off her chair. She was then screaming at her son. Turns out she broke her arm! Never seen karma work that quick.

Peaceandquietandacuppa · 07/04/2024 21:15

Landlord verbally gave us a discount on rent years ago for about a year (Mr nice guy act, wanted to help us as we were good tenants and did DIY etc) but because it wasn’t in writing, one day he just said we were behind on rent and had to pay it all, or move out. Paid it, then a few months later he evicted us anyway, and sold up. The house he bought next had subsidence issues and hopefully cost him £££

Redcarsontv · 07/04/2024 21:39

Ex ‘D’H married OW. He was caught having sex with another OW by his new bride during the reception. 😂😂😂😂

KitKatChunki · 07/04/2024 21:43

Actually had one today where a farty motorbike was loudly coming up fast behind me and clearly swerving to try to overtake. The speed drops from 50 to 40 so when the lane split into two there was a very narrow window between me and a car a car's length ahead to overtake me before a roundabout. Bike sped up, swooped between the two of us, barely made it around the almost immediate roundabout at such speed, did a small bike jump over a bit of road that has raised next to a pothole (most of us doing 30-40 can avoid it but at 50 he didn't have much choice), then immediately got flashed by the speed camera. Tbh he was very lucky he didn't come off on the roundabout or the hump.

Worked as head of a charity sector service. Participated in a scheme where graduates recruitments of company, (a well known international car manufacturer) were matched to my charity to do a project benefiting my agency. The graduate team did a great job for my agency. Showed up for the presentation of their efforts, competing for first prize, against other teams.

Anyway showed up at car manufacturers HQ and the receptionist was super shitty to me.

My team did a presentation and i did a speech to say how wonderful they were they won!!

The UK CEO presided and decided.

He came over to chat i said i needed to leave as had a lot of work to do, and didn't know the way out. He said i need to leave too so follow me, and offered me a lift.

Back down to shitty receptionist he said call my car tell them am taking Karen to xx first. Then he took a call.

I lent into the startled receptionist and said pretty woman style, “big mistake”

Woman who lives near in-laws was always playing loud music, reporting neighbours to the council for stupid unsubstantiated reasons, (people next door actually moved due to her ), looking in peoples windows, swearing at people and she would scream and shout at the people in her house all the time.
You get the picture.

One day she was playing loud music and there was the usual shouting from her house.
Her husband came back from work to find her covered in blood, she had some sort of accident and had cut a finger off.
Neighbours hadn’t come to her aid when she screamed due to the loud music and she was always screaming and yelling.

The finger couldn’t be reattached.

I'm not entirely comfortable with disabled children being framed as karma.

More of a cautionary tale than CF.

Driving up in Scotland - a very wet day and bendy main road that went through villages with 60mph in between. There was a car up my bum - no where to overtake and obviously they were in a rush, so I pulled into a street in a village to let them past as they were really starting to pissing me off.

Five minutes later we came upon them - car had left the road and they were in the ditch - corner must have been too fast and road too slippy. I pulled into an estate road and we left our own kids in the car and myself and DH went back to help. It was a young family with two kids in the back.

It could have been so much worse and I still think what we would have done if they had been badly injured / dead or dying and if i would have been able to do anything. All thankfully looked okay - the mum (driver) was totally hysterical, we got her kids out first and then the parents and tried to calm everyone down, called the police and tried to reassured them.

They were so very lucky and I hope it made a positive difference in the longer term. It was quite a day all round.

Not strictly CF I suppose but a lie to be called out.
Some years ago a colleague and I joined a badminton club run by someone in the IT dept of the company we worked for at the time. It was held at a community centre and they hired 3 of the 4 courts for 90 mins once a week 7,30pm-9pm. It wasn't a league club or anything, they just played for fun. We were relative (although not complete) beginners. A few weeks later my colleague and I were told the club was folding. I had the impression that this wasn't true and they simply didn't want us. It so happened that there was a bar which overlooked the courts so about 7 weeks later I visited the centre at about 8.15 (so well after they had arrived, well before they were due to leave) and popped up to the bar where, lo and behold, I could see them all playing. What my colleague and I did was got a couple of other colleagues from our team and we hired the fourth court from 7-9 on the same evening the badminton club played - and then watched their faces as one by one they started to arrive. Oh, did we enjoy their evident embarrassment when it became clear to them that we had caught them bang to rights. Revenge, as they say, is a dish best served cold...

My mother’s lovely cousin was married to an abusive arsehole. He was also notoriously greedy. My mother makes her own granola and got the measurements wrong which had an adverse effect on bowel movements. Cousin and husband stayed the night and my mother neglected to warn him about the granola, instead choosing to watch him have two massive portions. They were setting off on a five hour car journey immediately after breakfast. It still makes me laugh imagining the number of stops he probably had to make.

BlueMoanday · 07/04/2024 23:39

I was working in France and had walked out to the shops before work. On the opposite side of the street was a grassy hillock between two buildings. A man was walking a giant dog and it stopped to do a 💩. Man just let it and walked on down the hill. I was thinking of shouting over something about being a dirty lazy git but as I was thinking it he skidded right down the hillock in another pile of dog muck... Probably his own from the day before!
I pointed and laughed. Quick karma.
