Have just seen news saying that associated press have withdrawn photo as it appears "manipulated". V strange

I also don't understand what this means- in the sense - how can they tell and what level of manipulation?

Dear god, there are so many other things going on in the world - why is everyone so invested in this shit?!? 😩

It says what the "manipulation" is in here. Looks like bad use of photoshop and media hysteria rather than anything sinister

It’s a nice photo. Nothing has been said about when it was taken, who by etc. if it has been photoshopped then who’s to say it wasn’t done by W&C? Don’t get why it’s a biggie.

It's very strange , I didn't hear the full news report but .. In all my fifty odd years this is a first .

For a trusted news source it’s not factually accurate so it’s about maintaining their credibility if the image has been altered.

I'm not a believer in all the ridiculous conspiracy theories flying about (although I do think the publicity around her illness has been badly handled) but I don't think the photo is as recent as is being claimed and issuing an obviously altered image just feeds the fires of the wild theories being thrown about.

If Catherine wasn't up to a photo a simple picture of the cards from the kids and some flowers or the like, along with a personal message probably would have gone down better than a doctored image tbh.

BBC reported it was taken by Will. I always tweak my photos before sharing - slightly alter colours, crop etc. The conspiracy theories are fucking nuts.

Just seen the photo in the car. I'm sorry but I can't imagine that being her. She's either seriously poorly or it's not her. She looks to have put a lot of weight on.
Bless her, I hope she's just done some bad PR and she's recovering well at home. Not a loyalist at all but she's a 42 year old woman who deserves to be well.

AFP, Reuters, Ap are the cream of photo agencies. They have pulled this picture. That must say something very big about manipulation.

I just looked at the photo on Instagram. I hadn’t noticed it being doctored initially but it clearly has been. You can see charlottes sleeve has been edited strangely.
