Which activities make your heart sink?

Each to their own but which activities that your friends and family love are just not for you?

I’m genuinely pleased that others love it but I’m really not a fan of going for a walk unless there’s some other purpose e.g Exploring a city. I find it boring and difficult and often painful(Due to disabilities)

Also anything involving clubs or alcohol. I don’t drink and I have sensory issues so they’re too loud for me.

There are others but I want to hear what activities you dread.

TIA

I find watching comedians utterly excruciating! I just feel so much secondhand embarrassment on their behalf that I just shrivel up and cringe away into nothing.

It never clears my mind either. It just provides more space for my brain to go into overdrive.

Wasn't "mindfulness" a thing? You rarely hear it said these days. Because it's a load of bollocks. If it worked for you, you didn't overthink in the first place.

Mindfulness helps people that overthink

Driving. The traffic round here has become a nightmare. Developers think it’s ok to keep jamming more and more rabbit hutch new builds on top of one another, ignoring the fact that each new house means an extra car! Driving has become SO stressful and, at times, downright scary.

Also, everywhere you go now you hear idiots with souped up car engines and exhausts that backfire/explode. I’m sick of it. How do they get away with it? Apparently it’s illegal to drive a car that produces a certain level of noise, yet there are more of these noisy cars every year. The police do NOTHING. And as if all that wasn’t bad enough, there are flippin potholes everywhere!

Any kind of team building or after work event. Any Teams calls, meetings in general.

Anything where i have to make an effort such as party games or a dinner with strangers. Conferences are another one.

Fucking musicals. Kill me now.

Same, hate of all these too.

I do love 80s nights, ice-skating and spa weekends though which have been mentioned in the thread.

Gosh - yes. I rarely drive now the children have left school. I’ve learned to love public transport.

@JosieHetty me too. Now I've got my free bus pass I rarely drive anywhere. Much less stressful.

Mealtimes at all inclusive resorts. It's always busy, people are pushing past your table, you have to queue for everything and in the end, the food isn't ever really what you fancy. It always reminds me of school dinners.

When family drop in on DS's birthdays. They just turn up unannounced and usually overlap, so my house is always full and loud while I'm in the kitchen making endless coffees. I'm always relieved when we have waved away our last visitor and can celebrate quietly!

Parties. Basically, anywhere there is going to be lots of people that I don't know. And barbecues. I hate the smoke and the smell, the food always seems undercooked so I'm terrified of getting food poisoning, and there always seems to be loads of blokes getting off their tits on booze.
