Nooooooo. Oh what fucking horrible news. Such a genuinely funny guy.

Oh no that is dreadful news, he was such a great guy. I just watched him the night before last in his and Si King’s new series, and I was thinking how great it was that he was back. Very sad.

That’s is so very sad. I had thought he was doing better. Seemed like a genuinely lovely man.

How terribly sad.

I was just talking about him the other day and wondered how he was doing. I always enjoyed watching he and Si together. They were always so entertaining. Such great chemistry together.

This has really upset me. Such a lovely man. I've been really enjoying the new series and hoped he was on the mend.

Oh no! I saw their Christmas special and latest series and thought he'd turned a corner for the better. I was so pleased for him.

Very sad. He worked so hard to get back on his bike and record the series currently being broadcast, but it felt like a last hoorah.

Si King’s statement has given me goosebumps. He was such a nice man, and their friendship really seemed to be something special.

What a shitty disease this is that seems to grab you back down just when you think you're free.

I have family who live with the sword hanging over their head - never really knowing if and when it will drop. It's awful.

Gone too soon..

I really truly believed he had turned a corner and was on the road to recovery, the breaking news story stopped me in my tracks. Gutted 😞 I really hope the family, friends and loved ones are going to be ok, what an awful journey they have all had to go on these past few years.

Rest easy, Dave.

So sorry to hear this, I've been watching their latest tv series, and I also saw them both on Saturday Kitchen about 3 weeks ago. He was definitely not his usual self on the live programme and you could see it was taking so much effort and energy. Very sad for Si and Dave's lovely family.
