Very sad to hear this news

I felt saddened by this news, lovely words written by Si too. Dave Myers’s will be missed by many. May he RIP.

I loved Dave! He seemed such a genuinely nice man through and through. I have been watching their new series and was pleased to see him back but I will say he never seemed quite the same after he had been so ill. I loved Si’s statement too.

My teen dc and elderly parents are also shocked and upset.

Sad news. I'm not generally a fan of cookery shows, but I've watched a few of the HB programmes and he always came across as a lovely, warm-hearted person.

Their Christmas Pudding vodka is one of the greatest recipes ever. I may raise a glass of it to him tonight.

He'll be much missed - one of the few people on the telly these days who seemed like a genuinely lovely bloke. Was so shocked and saddened by the news, like PPs I got the impression from the latest series that he was on the mend. My heart goes out to his family and Si King.

Yeah, I got a text this morning to tell me cos (although my friends all think I’m a weirdo) I fancied Dave Myers. He was my ideal man: artistic, funny and could cook. Hope wherever he is the roads are long and straight and there’s no speed limit.

It's upset me too. He seemed to be doing so well.

Such sad news, I’m another one not normally affected by a celebrity death but this has really saddened me. I loved their TV programmes, they were so genuinely warm and funny.

I also started listening to their Agony Uncles podcast last year if anyone is interested.

There's not many people that were/(are!) so universally loved - so sad - I met him and his wife Lil - they were on a canal boat holiday only a few years ago and I was walking my dog - stopped for a brief chat as I don't like to bother people that must get bothered all the time - he and his wife were so lovely, friendly and chatty - she did the steering while he worked the lock gates - what you see on the TV is exactly him in real life - so measured, precise and diplomatic - I hope Si King soldiers on.

So sad, for everyone who enjoyed their cooking and travels, and for family and friends of course.

Glad he got to live his best life, having fun with Si and traveling the globe.

We'll miss you and your daft sense of humour, Dave Myers.

So sad, seemed like a sweetheart. Was just reading about him being the first male make up artist at the BBC (he couldn’t believe he got the job). But smashing gender based stereotypes in work was running through his veins apparently because his mother was a Crane Driver !! WTF! Love him ❤️
