Hi all and lovely to 'see' you again @Peridot1 👋
Mum the soup was leftovers so a sweated onion base as always, then whatever was needing to be got rid of. I started writing the list but it'll bore you all to tears so suffice to say I think I squeezed at least ten veg plus some dried herbs, chopped cold chicken, a bit of bone broth and ( don't tell DH!) some ground flaxseed.
The freezer is full to the brim now!
Is it Havoc's birthday? I hope whoever it is has a lovely birthday. Our littlest is off to a party this afternoon. They happen almost every weekend don't they?
Another one with probable ADHD @SummerLobelia ? I am not very good at doing anything for much more than 15 minutes, so your 45min gardening session sounds like a win!
Bah to the forrin parking fine @SpiritOfEdna
I hope everyone's weekend is going well! Ours has been small child filled so we are fairly weary now they've all gone. Short break and then to clear up the wreckage. Small children really do leave trails of destruction!
And of course, quite a lot of washing!
This week DH has been banned from shopping so I can concentrate on using up what we've got, evem if we are on corned beef hash with everything in it out of the store cupboard by Friday. The soup will do lunches.
Does anybody else stash bits of meat from a roast in the freezer to avoid thinking about it? I need to use up cold meat from the freezer this week.
Happy Saturday and I'm off to read my book. I want to finish it so I can start 'Two Old Women' by Velma Wallis, as recommended by somebody somewhere on MN.
