It's a really beautiful morning here! I am walking with a friend today. First, I will get a box of bits into the loft, and I have a bookcase to look at and see if there is anything that could go to the little village phone box library.

Also need to write a shopping list! And order pet medication.

I am so sorry too @petalpower - so many emotions. Thinking of you.

I managed my deadline with two hours to spare yesterday - thanks all for the encouraging thoughts. Parents are visiting this weekend and I took today as leave, much needed. Have been tidying laundry with mom and setting aside a few things to send home for younger family members.

Before coming to the nursing home this morning I did two loads of washing, a menu plan for next week, an online supermarket shop, wrote a shopping list for DH and ordered dog food. I’ve packed the most random overnight bag ever as I did it in a hurry - staying here overnight as auntie is fading and on end of life meds. MN is keeping me going. The lovely staff have just brought me a big glass of wine. They are so kind and it has made the world of difference.

Thinking of you @petalpower - sounds like the staff are watching over you both.

This week has been full on, Sats are over, but I'm worn out. I was nodding off after dinner so went out for a walk with dh and ddog. Ready to nod off again now. Thank heavens it's Friday night.

I can’t say I achieved much today. Had a lovely night out last night. Not home late. But was shattered this morning and ended up going back to bed for a nap which became a 2 hour sleep. Then went for a bikini wax and manicure this afternoon. Sorted some packing out and will finish tomorrow.

There is a spring fair (Or rather Ye Olde Spring Fayre) on our village green so might look at that later.

We have some sunshine here, it's warming up again. I'm currently waiting for a warm cheese scone to be delivered to me in a cafe in a converted church, dc2 is doing his club - so there's lots of music and singing coming from upstairs.

Still thinking of you and Auntie, @petalpower 💐 I am glad you are being looked after. Carers are generally a lovely bunch 🍷
Grey and drizzly here. We've had a fun morning with the family including the little ones at mother's. She's at the smiling benevolently stage. The rest of us are exhausted from toddler games 😂

DH is off to watch cricket and I might just have myself a nap!

Doing DD's early Saturday morning Kung fu class. Happily there is a very good coffee shop right across the street so I popped out to get one 😊

We did have rather strong wind gusts a couple nights ago of 50km/h.

Managed a large load of laundry yesterday, vacuuming, gathering up recycling and garbage, and a quick trip to Costco. Holiday long weekend here: Victoria Day. No fireworks, though.

We had a lovely morning outside, tidying up the garden. Just about to make a start on an evening roast. Dh has been to the tip. That's pretty much it now, tip-wise.
Washing is out on the line again. Our smart meter is showing so much less energy usage now.
I had to clean the windows because the sunshine shows all the marks.
I have found a gardener to help with the heavier stuff in mum's garden and ours. They are like gold-dust round here.
I have watered my indoor plants too, and talked to all my important people 📞
Will hopefully finish my book while dinner is cooking.

Thank you for asking @Frostandfrogs . Auntie is still hanging on, totally unresponsive and on a syringe driver of meds. Now on max dose of morphine and agitation meds plus a couple of others. I’ve had two nights on a mattress on her floor as I don’t want to go home and leave her so I’m a bit tired but am being very well looked after by the nursing home staff. It’s been a beautiful day here and I’ve sat outside auntie’s door on the patio area of the garden for short bursts.

It's been a beautiful day here too, so unexpected, we went out to celebrate the end of sats which has perked dc2 up no end.

I am so pleased she has good palliative care and is peaceful @petalpower 💕 Sending peaceful wishes to you too!

I have been reading a thread on the dementia board which is resonating with me regarding my mother at the moment. Such a terrible and sad disease 😔

I think I have had a little too much sun today. My head is aching a lot! Time for bed I think! Sweet dreams everyone 💐

Auntie passed away peacefully yesterday evening with DH holding her hand and me stroking her hair and talking to her. 💕
