I am giving myself (yet another) electronic device ban for the day. I just am not achieving as much as I think I ought!

Today is a clean before the cleaner comes day. Plus some washing and making smug butter bean and tomato soup.

House cleaned.

A medical appointment is about to be attended.

Dinner prepped. (Chicken in a creamy parmesan sauce over pasta).

2 loads of washing washed and ironed.

I want to do something in the garden but am now feeling a bit lazy.

Ooh cinnamon buns @Mumtobabyhavoc sounds lovely! I am a bit scared of cooking with yeast for some reason, it seems a bit grownup!

The kitchen is a bit never ending isn't it @CountingCrones

Yesterday I tidied and vacuumed most of the house with the help of my robot minions, took some books back to the library, tidied the kitchen (again), got my access card renewed .

Still need to clean shoes, open mail and do finances.

Having a nice day though. Just back from a nice lunch out with DH.

must try that pizza dough recipe. We always have Greek yoghurt in the fridge.

Today is a socialising day, so very little chores done aside from making lunch for friends and clearing up after.

Smug preserves sounds great @CountingCrones . I'll try my hand at that I think.... one of the school mums makes an incredible apple and chilli jelly. It's my favourite thing but she has sadly cut off supply (new big job and no time) so I might try my own.

Smug preserves are a doddle, I highly recommend them!

Today not quite working out as planned. Had a letter from my uk bank saying I was clearly having trouble paying off my credit card that I thought I had not used in years.

Turned out to be an Airbnb transaction that for some insane reason had gone through my uk PayPal back in February instead of my US card, plus a ton of interest.

So have spent the morning calling uk institutions and closing accounts I am not using anymore.

And cleaned the kitchen.

I hope the rest of 'opening the mail' is less eventful!

I'm quite pleased with what I've achieved today, so I have now got my feet up with a 🍷 and a book. Tomorrow I have grand plans for a menu plan and some smug store cupboard cooking. I also have some clothing and books for charity shop that need to be dropped off.

I am doing a Lobelia and going on a devices ban today. I have all sorts of bits and bobs to do.
I am going to need a Big List! That requires coffee, and while the kettle boils I intend to wipe down the outside of the fridge to get me on a roll.

Hoping very much that everybody who has been poorly is feeling better, and that school and SATs and jobs ( at home or otherwise) go smoothly!

• plant some bedding plants to fill in some gaps
• take dog to vet for monthly jab
• vacuum
• put laundry away
• do some ironing

Quick lunch break here. I'm reading on my kindle and couldn't resist a quick MN scroll.

Quite a productive day here. I'm getting lots of small things done. Our bedroom is tidy but there is nothing really homely or cosy about it, so having a think about how to address that.

Not getting anything done really here as I’m spending all my time at the nursing home with auntie who is on end of life care :(

• put away the overflowing clean laundry stacks before the cats can convert them to new napping places
• 90 minutes phone catch up with Dad
• baked banana and white chocolate muffins using the overripe bananas and the chocolate chips left over from daughter’s baking experiments on the weekend
• baked a dozen sausage rolls

If anyone else has DC going through exams, do you find their appetites go weird?
DD won’t eat meals, especially in exam days, and only wants to graze endlessly. Meals are “too much, they stop my brain working,” apparently.
Hence getting sausage meat from the butcher and making sausage rolls.

Oh, no @petalpower Didn't realize the situation had changed for auntie. I'm sorry. That sounds very difficult. Handhold from afar. 💐

Thank you for your kind words. It’s a horrible situation - we don’t want to lose her but don’t want her to suffer like this. Alzheimer’s is horrible.
