The wife is 46 probably being trying for a while https://www.standard.co.uk/showbiz/ant-mcpartlin-dad-first-time-48-annemarie-corbett-dec-b1138334.html I hope his ex wife is ok I always felt for her.

He must be over the moon. I still haven’t forgiven him for how he faced no consequences appearance wise after his drunk driving ☹️

My gran was having babies well past 40. She had 15 babies. If you keep on having kids and your a late joiner to menopause then your body knows what it's doing. It's really unlikely that she took on multiple teen pregnancies. The contraception was shit and she was incorrectly told she was going through the change at 40 with missed periods. Weirdly, the babies stopped when her dh died. It's very different having ten kids plus pre 40 and starting your family post 45.

GreenClock · 10/02/2024 23:27

Like Victoria Coren Mitchell and David Mitchell, Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig, and the Ramsays, they have the funds to throw at domestic help.

If you have a nanny and a cleaner and can afford taxis/expensive prepared meals/laundry service/gardener/dog walker/gym/whatever, you’re probably less knackered than a 28 year old couple who doesn’t.

Runnerinthenight · 10/02/2024 23:38

@Snugglemonkey "Not necessarily. My granny had my aunt naturally at 49"

That's pretty rare!!

I'm pleased for him. He does seem healthier and happier now. I guess fertility problems played a part in his previous marriage breakdown alongside other things. I do think Lisa could have kept a dignified silence and moved on.

And your evidence Lisa didn’t keep a dignified silence is….?

Boogiebadass · 10/02/2024 23:46

I feel sorry for Lisa. I can imagine how she feels, wasn’t long ago her partner dumped her dramatically too and took off with 100k of hers. It must feel like one thing after another

isitshe · 10/02/2024 23:54

IwishIcouldfinishabook · 10/02/2024 20:38

Not to mention the years of setting his attack dogs onto Lisa, a woman he'd known since he was a teenager, who he had cheated on.

setting his attack dogs onto Lisa
Whaaaa?!

LorlieS · 10/02/2024 23:54

@Boogiebadass But surely Ant has every right to have a child with his new wife if that's what they so choose? His ex is his ex after all?

WhattheactualFf · 10/02/2024 23:56

He set his dogs to attack Lisa?!!!

How unusual as your odds of miscarriage at 46 are 75% and that’s if you conceive at all - the conception rate is 4%. So your odds of conceiving naturally and carrying to term are overall around 1%.

Your family must be a medical marvel.

Possibly!! My grandparents all lived until their late 90s, one was 102 and my great grandmother was 107!!

Veggie1965 · 11/02/2024 00:39

HNRTFT but I think it’s lovely news . Congratulations was my thought.

Katbum · 11/02/2024 00:44

None of your business. None of mine.

StockpotSoup · 11/02/2024 00:48

Why on earth would you think this was your business?

Manyandyoucanwalkover · 11/02/2024 01:10

Great news for them. I love Ant and Dec.

AlphariusOmegron · 11/02/2024 01:14

Ah I was so sad when he got blinded. I't s good to see he has found happiness despite his disabilities.

crumblingschools · 11/02/2024 01:15

I wonder if he had killed someone whilst drink driving whether people would still feel the love for him

BusterGonad · 11/02/2024 01:22

TheThingIsYeah · 10/02/2024 19:27

To be fair, the OP is right. If you or me drove your mum's mini like a bumper car whilst twice the limit I doubt you'd get the easy ride he did.

He could afford a 24hr chauffeur, why are some people so tight? Or do they think if they are in the public eye laws are only for the little people?

I completely agree, whilst at a similar time Caroline Flack got so much hate that she ended up taking her own life. Golden boy here got away with it and was treated like a poor victim and may as well been given a medal for his bravery facing his addition issues. Such double standards, one was abusive/violent to her partner whilst drunk the other was driving a car and could have killed anyone who happened to get in his way. So arrogant and entitled.

YaWeeFurryBastard · 11/02/2024 01:23

JanglingJack · 10/02/2024 21:24

🤣 very true.

To be fair I’m sure if we found out the local joiner who’s pushing 50 and almost caused a serious drink drive accident knocked up his wife’s best mate we wouldn’t be dancing the maypole jig either.

BusterGonad · 11/02/2024 01:28

BetsyBobbins · 10/02/2024 21:46

I can't stand this man. People are quick to forget that he's cheated on his wife with her friend and drove while drunk causing an accident that could have killed someone.

If it was a woman presenter her career would've been finished but that's the double standards of the patriarchy for you.

Having said that, I wish the baby is healthy and all

Completely agree with you. It's all swept under the carpet because he's a man. It makes my blood boil seeing his smug face everywhere... As if he's some kind of saint.

LostInPoetry · 11/02/2024 01:34

It’s not just because he’s a man in this case, it’s the protective cloak that covers so many at itv, including Holly. Caroline wasn’t in the special circle.

Your clumsy sarcasm aside……this was actually a well known phenomenon. Occurred in multiple generations in my maternal family also. It’s just it wasn’t usually a first baby but occurred in a family with (often adult) older children. A perimenopause surprise.

It’s the reason at 46 I remain vigilant with contraception.

Quite evidently, she was kicked of her show within hours. One fed to the dogs... The other treated like a victim.

I never went paintballing ever again after seeing that awful accident. Marvellous he's driving now and everything.

When you put it like that ...

🤣

Oh that paints a picture.

Riverlee · 11/02/2024 03:40

The media always seem a bit obsessed with Ants ex. You never hear about other ex’s in the news so much. They divorced several years ago now.

I think they're obsessed with her as she doesn't fit the usual celebrity wife mold. Headlines like "Ant ex out with friends looking stunning" then you take a look, and no offence meant, but she's clearly looking like an average middle aged woman on an average day, it's all click bait for the bitchy comments section.
