The wife is 46 probably being trying for a while https://www.standard.co.uk/showbiz/ant-mcpartlin-dad-first-time-48-annemarie-corbett-dec-b1138334.html I hope his ex wife is ok I always felt for her.

He must be over the moon. I still haven’t forgiven him for how he faced no consequences appearance wise after his drunk driving ☹️

I'm sure he'll be absolutely gutted you haven't forgiven him. My goodness.

@Yogatoga1 "it is perfectly possible".

Oh it's possible alright but when a couple who have millions in the bank want to have a baby this late, it's most likely that they had to go that route?

It's not perfectly possible - it's fairly unlikely.

… that doesn’t stop it being perfectly possible…

Sorry you found that hard. Both my mum and two aunts had babies at that age (and older!) and it was a breeze for them.

How unusual as your odds of miscarriage at 46 are 75% and that’s if you conceive at all - the conception rate is 4%. So your odds of conceiving naturally and carrying to term are overall around 1%.

Your family must be a medical marvel.

Runnerinthenight · 10/02/2024 19:39

@FastAndLast "… that doesn’t stop it being perfectly possible…"

"Perfectly possible" is an exaggeration of its likelihood.

You are just splitting hairs to be argumentative.

Personally I was post-menopausal at that age.

I know it can happen, but it's statistically fairly unlikely!

FrancisSeaton · 10/02/2024 19:41

Sick of how he's touted as some golden boy who deserves all the happiness in the world and her as a bitter money grabbing hard faced cow

FastAndLast · 10/02/2024 19:42

It is, and I know you’ve no reason to believe anecdotes by anonymous members, but my grandad’s mum was 45 when she had him.
I do agree though, it is more likely they have had some intervention. Best of luck to them.

estraaanged · 10/02/2024 19:42

@Yogatoga1 was busy building a straw man about the previous poster who said they 'imagined' they had help and then extrapoloated that to ancient hag mutterings etc so deserved challenging on that comment.

SerenityNowInsanityLater · 10/02/2024 19:43

To be honest, regarding Ant and Dec, Ant and Lisa, Ant and Drink, Ant and Anne Marie, the only one I really care about is Hurley (whose butt my own chocolate lab used to sniff when Ant lived in Chiswick).

Good luck to them. Baby news is happy news.

I don’t think his ex wife should be a consideration tbh, she needs to move on, lots of divorced couples go on to have children, their divorce must be 5 or 6 years ago now. When you work out their ages when the child is 18 though, that’s more of a consideration tbh. But I wish them well for a healthy baby and a happy life.

Who told you his ex didn't move on?! That's exactly how Lisa is shown in tabloids, with no evidence she didn't at all! In contrary, she had a longterm boyfriend since split, received awards for her work, had her own make up range, which sold out, causing crashing the website due demand. Conveniently , nothing of it has been mentioned by Daily Mail or The Sun.

EachandEveryone · 10/02/2024 19:44

I imagine they started ivf as soon as they could I mean, he’d probably had all the tests when he was with Lisa. Of course any one would who had the money when time isn’t on their side.

Runnerinthenight · 10/02/2024 19:46

@EachandEveryone of course they would - it's commonsense if you had all the money he has and time wasn't on your side!

NooNakedJacuzziness · 10/02/2024 19:46

Hopefully he might do the decent thing and let Lisa have sole custody of Hurley.

PersephonePomegranate · 10/02/2024 19:46

I think most women do the 'so hard/so old' once they're mentally and emotionally out of that stage and can't imagine going back. A minority do it just to undermine and exclude though.

I'm in my early 40s and while I have no desire at all to go back to the newborn stage, or even through pregnancy again, I don't feel so decrepit in my 40s that having a baby would floor me.

It's a bit sad so many women, who are still fairly young, have so little energy. Makes you wonder how our generation will cope with working until 71!

Runnerinthenight · 10/02/2024 19:49

@EachandEveryone I actually had my 3rd when I was 40, and it was perfectly do-able, and I went back to work full-time as well. #3 was the most difficult baby of my three though, slept in very short bursts, was night feeding until they self-weaned at 20 months but kept up the night waking for a bit. It was tiring and with a winter baby, it seemed harder!

Ant and Anne Marie can have all the paid help they want/need though, so not the same as most people.

RestingPassportFace · 10/02/2024 19:51

How do him and his ex share custody of the dog?
How does that work?
Her insta message of said dog being her bf was reported on as "reaction" to the news. Utterly bizarre.

Meadowfinch · 10/02/2024 19:52

Wishing them both well.

annieloulou · 10/02/2024 20:00

My grandmother had my mum at 44 (in 1936) so no IVF! Her 2nd marriage after being widowed at 40.

I had shoulder surgery last year at age 54 and had to have a pregnancy test before surgery. I was astonished but they said it’s procedure for any woman under 55 🤣

WeeOrcadian · 10/02/2024 20:03

Are you the wife?

No?

But out then

Sunnnybunny72 · 10/02/2024 20:07

My friend had her second set of twins at 47. Her first set were 17!

I can imagine someone brings dog to the one person's house and leaves him there on agreed days and the collects.
Tabloids comment about Lisa's social media posts a lot, likely because it's an only way to validate their way of thinking about her and interpret it in the way they find it useful.

Runnerinthenight · 10/02/2024 19:08

It's a big deal at 46! I imagine they must have had assisted conception of some kind?

Not necessarily. My granny had my aunt naturally at 49.

LakeTiticaca · 10/02/2024 19:19

Conveniently missed out the bit where he dumped his wife for her best friend, launched a custody battle over the dog, now parading his first Time parenthood. Talk about rubbing the ex wife's nose in it!!

Not to mention the years of setting his attack dogs onto Lisa, a woman he'd known since he was a teenager, who he had cheated on.

2031MummyTBC · 10/02/2024 20:41

knew someone would come along with the can’t possibly conceive naturally she’s so ancient.

Both are, he's pushing 50.

rwalker · 10/02/2024 20:43

There not in my friendship circle so don’t care

is OP close friends to any of them
