How can I make this 'Bulge Cake' look more realistic?

Don't ask but I made this cake on request. I am not a baker, just someone who makes cakes for friend's birthdays. This is for a friend but he's closer to other friends than me and they asked me for this design.

I wanted to do the trousers/shorts grey but I couldn't get the colour right so decided on white.

I was thinking, could I put some creases in somehow? So it looks a bit less 'cartoony'?
Would you know what it was meant to be?

(Yes I've name changed). It's only a bit of fun, people know I am not a cake decorator! I've made 'novelty' cakes for a few different people but how 'wrong' they look is just part of it!

I'm going to try to make something a bit like this.

For some reason I can't quite understand how best to get the shape?
Obviously I'm going to make a large round cake first, but how would you go about getting the ammonite shape form it?

I'm being really thick here probably!🤣

Just cut it where I’ve marked in red @IMakeCrapCakes

(and then eat that bit!)

Mentally mark out a 1/4 slice of the cake (red, in the picture.
Cut from one edge of the slice to halfway along the other edge- the purple mark.

That wedge will be a triangle with two curved edges- like a fang.
Ideally you’ll scoop out that area a little to look like the opening where the snail lives.

My brain works better at 03:00 I have realised, because I just re-read this when I clicked on page to respond to the latest, and thought 'Hmm, wonder if I could open a 'crap cake' business!

Well, I showed it to a friend who guessed (in this order);

Dog Turd
Sea Urchin (!)
Cow Pat
Fossil.

This was a particularly slapdash attempt at an Easter cake, even I admit I can do much better however an Easter gathering was sprung on me an hour and a half before the event (in which time I also had to walk my dog and shower/prepare other things) so I could've also done a lot worse!🤣

Your Easter cake still looks crap but in a really, really good way!

to answer your question - it needs some flies down the front/zipper and I'd drawn some shallow pockets on it with a bit of stitching along side the pocket. Take your inspiration from jeans.

I have no idea what the phallus thing is supposed to be - the eyes are throwing me off.

Is it supposed to be a penis vertically upwards - eyes on the glans? what's the one lump next to it then?

Or is it supposed to be a penis downwards -eyes on one of the testicles? and the other lump a second testicle? why does only one testicle have eyes?
