If you wear jeans almost every day, how often do you wash them?

I've just bought a new pair of jeans, and the instructions advise hanging them out on the line to freshen them up and avoid washing them if possible, to preserve their colour.

You'd think in this day and age that someone would have invented colour-fast dye for jeans!

After a day's worth of wear. Otherwise they and I stink.

Cheapo supermarket jeans. I rarely wear anything more than once.

Mine are all from Tesco or Asos, I wash them every couple of wears, unless I've walked the dogs or popped to the stables and they have got muddy then obviously I'll wash them after.
I feel like after two wears they need to be washed to get back into shape more than to be clean, I'm sure they would be fine for longer.

If your jeans "stink" after a days worth of wear then you either have an extreme lifestyle or some kind of odour problem because that's not normal. Do you work in a fish market or something?

When they are visibly dirty or when I remember/fancy wearing a different pair.

I wear mine on and off but for about 3 days in total. They lose their shape and make me itch, after this point.

My jeans don’t “stink”, because I wash them.

This thread is an absolute eye-opener as to why so many people walk around smelling stale and unkempt.

Every 3-4 wears

Three days wearing then a machine wash, inside out. Dried on a heated airer at this time of year but otherwise outside.

I probably wear mine 4 times (possibly more if not spilt anything)
They are so much softer and nicer to wear after a couple of wears.

2-3 wears depending on when I spill something down them. They're always losing shape if they make it to the third wear though and need washing anyway.

Varies, if I’m in them all day, walking the dog, shopping and sweating a lot then one wear. If I’m sticking them on to cover the school run ( in loungewear at home) then multiple times. I’m all about scent, so happy with a good sniff test if must be. I’m late 40s so believe I think I have a hand on it by now.

I wore the same pair 6 times in the last 10 days, just around the house or nipping to do the nursery run and they were fine. But another pair I wore today and got filthy first wear. So it all depends.

I am at home 5 days out of 7 on average these days and will wear stuff much more than if I was out of the house more. Saves the clothes and saves £ on washing.

Just depends. If I've been home mainly and not gone anywhere that grosses me out like public transport etc. Then I'd wear them twice or thrice max. If I've been out for a full day then I'd wash them straight after so it'd be just 1 wear.

3-4 wears or sooner if obviously dirty. They do start to smell after a bit!

I wear jeans everyday I try for 4 wears depending how often I spill coffee
I always wash and dry inside out, use a " colours" liquid which I think helps

I only buy supermarket jeans (gone is my figure for 'old fashioned proper jean material) <sigh. Miss my old non stretch bum hugging Levi's) & they don't fade. Well a black pair has a bit, but I'm not bothered about it. I wash them after probably every 2nd or 3rd wear, but they're seldom worn for a whole day due to other activities & due to a medical condition I sweat a lot & would hate to be wearing 'smelly' jeans. Plus they need tightening up or they work their way down & No one wants me flashing my backside!

I use bio for everything
And I can't dry outside, and jeans take bloody ages to dry!
I wash them after maybe 4-5 wears unless they're visibly dirty
