How do you get thinner poos?!!

Just NC'd obviously, but am not the poo troll honest.

I 'struggle' with bigger poos, like 3cm diameter, occasionally bigger. However they are really soft and healthy looking. I am never ever constipated and never push even a tiny bit - they just fall out. But they are aggravating the grade 1 haemorrhoids I got from pregnancy so I'd like them to be thinner to give the haemorrhoids a chance to heal properly.

So what foods can give me thinner poos?! Google only says that insoluble fibre gives you fatter poos, but I don't overeat that really.

In brief, I eat two portions of carbs a day, usually white rice, homemade white bread,.or potato. I eat meat, full fat dairy, nuts, veg, fruit, chocolate and home baking. Copious water and tea. A bottle of wine spread over a weekend.

TIA!

I have images of everyone measuring their poo and reporting back 😂

Goodgirth · 09/01/2024 19:12

3 cm in diameter is about the width of two fingers held together. It's not big.

Nitesaredrawinin · 09/01/2024 19:22

Stop with the big circle that’s not 3cm. Deal with the haemorrhoid your poo is normal.

Yes it is @Lilacanemone

You can keep sharing that image, but it's not to scale 😂 it's just from a website of maths problems...

I think the image is for the people confusing diameter with circumference.

I use hemp body butter rubbed on my hemorrhoids pre-poo so they don't run and irritate. Any body butter would do but hemp just seems right!

Bigbumsntums · 09/01/2024 20:00

Yell at them to lose weight and they're nothing like they used to be.

PossumintheHouse · 09/01/2024 20:07

3cm diameter isn’t that big. It’s not exactly an eye-watering turd, is it?

Smaller than what I do. It's not that big at all.

There was a good series about pooing on TV a while ago. One thing they said was that crouching is a much better position to poo in than sitting. They suggested that those of us who prefer to sit should put our feet up on something (perhaps another use for a bin in the bathroom) to get the optimal position for the poo to go round the bend in our anatomy. Then the stool will pass through the tubing more easily.

With regard to the haemorrhoid, Boots do really nice soothing wipes with witch hazel. They're with the haemorrhoid stuff.

So much wtf????? Why? Who commissioned it? What was good?

Well people don’t know what normal is because no one is in a position to compare!

DS2 went to the paediatrician aged about ten for investigation. There were several connected issues. He was complaining of diarrhoea. When asked to point to the Bristol chart he was absolutely fine. No diarrhoea. He’d got the impression they should be lumpy, not soft and smooth.
