Anyone actually excited about a Sunak/Tory government

Can anyone point to anything Sunak and the Tories have done over the past 14 years that excites them, and makes them go, I want to vote for them again?

I'm not keen on the idea of a Labour government either , but the conservatives have had their chance with various leaders and all kinds of challenges , yet they just roll out the same old tropes
The Rwanda plan cost 290 mil and nothing much has been done apart from the Home Secretary's having a nice jolly to sign off more money for them
They really are tired and just to blame the opposition time and again is just lazy

I am excited about Rishi Sunak and the tories.
With each day, we're getting closer to the point that we choose between eating and heating our home.
Might be a year that I lose weight without actually putting the effort in.

I'm so excited for the masochism and sadism that Rishi and the Tory's are likely to further inflict. I'm so excited to see how much bigger the divisions between wealth and poverty will be. I can't wait to see how much more corruption will happen. Also. I'm sooooo looking forward to the complete destruction of the NHS and public services. I can't wait for the UK to completely transition into the USA and I love that we are now living in Dickensian times (I'm obviously being sarcastic)

I am excited about Sunak being the reverse Robin Hood

Gosh, yes, as a disabled person I really can’t wait to see what they deprive me of next.

Zonder · 07/01/2024 12:05

I'm actually excited by Laura K actually doing a half decent job of interviewing him this morning and badgering him about things he didn't want to speak about. Never saw that with Johnson.

Goatymum · 07/01/2024 12:29

I’m excited to see Tories lose safe seats at the GE.

IClaudine · 07/01/2024 13:16

Like a pp I am very excited Sunak has confirmed he is going after disabled people.

AllTheScoresOnAllTheDoors · 07/01/2024 13:49

I'm very very excited about getting rid of the last remaining teaching assistants - what a waste of tax payers money the whole lot of 'em. Oh, and those dinky buses that clutter up the countryside - the rural landscape will be much more pleasant without them.

I am also super excited to see this. I hope that I’m even more penalised for leaving a DV marriage than I already am.
Im excited to gain a few £ on my just above minimum wage earnings only to probably lose £££££ off my UC that I need to live because we encourage employers to pay low wages!!
My excitement began to peak when I read this!!

I just want to say that I am very glad you have escaped and I hope things get easier for you. x

I'm very excited by a Sunak Government. He's now being really proactive in trying to sort out justice for the Post Masters wrongly convicted. I'm so pleased he's seen the drama on telly so knows all about it.
I'm sure the only reason he's done nothing before this is because he wasn't aware of it. It couldn't possibly be anything to do with the public reaction to the TV programme.
Well done Rishi - you deserve a CBE for this (if you're lucky there may be one going spare soon)

I was pleased to see how pissed off he was by not being given an easy ride. Very gratifying.

It's exciting to see that Peter Bone's girlfriend has been chosen to be the Tory candididate for the by election in Wellingborough, stand by your man

I'm excited by the very real prospect of Rishi losing his little temper during the leadership debates. He does not like being pushed on his actions does he!

I love a bit of Tammy Wynette!

There is still time for the Labour left to pull off its usual trick of sabotaging Labour's election chances. It is, let's face it, the only thing they are any good at.

Is it? So why is the country in a much worse state that it was when Labour left office? Why is the NHS on its knees? Why is there no Sure Start? No Independent Living Fund? Why are there more food banks? Why are we all much poorer that we were under the last Labour government?

Come now, it's not worse for everyone. Just ask Michelle Mone.

I'm excited to see how pay will improve for current NHS workers when the NHS is inevitably run into the ground and healthcare is all privatised 😐

newnamethanks · 08/01/2024 17:07

Yes, but everything I'd like to do is illegal. Nothing could make me vote for them, ever. Not even the offer of a gold-plated Peter Bone statuette, with matching girlfriend. Just hoping the voters of Wellingborough are as picky as I am. Once bitten . . .

1dayatatime · 08/01/2024 17:23

Well not so much about Sunak but I am looking forward to Liz Truss staying on as a Conservative MP and I look forward to her future valuable well thought out contributions to the country.

She got 69% of the vote in her constituency in the 2019 election so she would have to have done some seriously crazy shit in order not to get elected in 2024z

You do remember October 2022? And the lettuce?

dickdarstardlymuttley · 08/01/2024 17:39

I'm so excited 🎉 I'm just delirious with excitement! I am actually in LOVE with Carol Voderman and what she has morphed into as a direct result of this government. I'm like a cat on catnip. 🎉
