He opens his mouth and lies flow out.

Fine example is his campaigning speech this morning in which he claimed to have delivered on his 5 pledges.

I guess he can't recall how to tell the truth Hmm

Probably fortunately, I can't seem to find this Starmer thread.

Sounds about right.

At this rate won’t need an election, the opposition party’s will be the majority.

It got zapped for slagging off his kids.

So much for all the concern about children - but not those children, they’re the wrong sort. 🙄

It was pretty distasteful, especially when he's just done an interview where he says he's worried about raising interest in his children.

Also shows how deep the conspiracy theories run for some people....

What is "the plan" though? Confused

Saucery · 08/01/2024 17:45

I don’t recall those posters making such a fuss when Jeremy Hunt said his wife was Japanese rather than Chinese Hmm

A thread has already sprung up hinting at a deeper meaning for Starmer’s slip of the tongue. Hope MNHQ stamp on that and subsequent threads about his children. Or any politician’s children.

BatteryPowerGnat · 08/01/2024 18:07

Zonder · 08/01/2024 15:31

There's a real pile on onto KS on the thread about his children. He said he has a son of 15 and a son of 13 when everywhere else says he has a daughter of 13. This is really nit picking. I'm always getting my kids names wrong!

My DH keeps calling our adult DD that cat's name by mistake.
Both end in 'y' but otherwise are quite different.

L1ttledrummergirl · 08/01/2024 18:07

Ffs, sometimes we call the dog by my dds name (and vice versus), I'd live to know what they'd make of that.

I also can't remember their dates of birth immediately everytime despite giving birth to them. That would set tongues rolling.

L1ttledrummergirl · 08/01/2024 18:09

Not ddog though, I didn't give birth to her.

Just making that clear for the hard of thinking.

I think my MP would like you to know that this was definitely the fault of SWW and not the government.

I’ll let you take a guess about his voting record on pumping shit into rivers.

Don't be too hard on him. He probably can't recall what those pledges were.

What is "the plan" though? Confused

It’s an infinite loop of sticking to the plan then changing to sticking to the plan then changing to stick to the plan.

Rishi and his cabinet will still be doing this come 2030 regardless of the election outcome. At that point they can say ‘told you so’ and Truss will still be saying that her economic management is sound.

My working assumption is its something to do with stopping the boats....

InMySpareTime · 08/01/2024 20:09

I thought it was halving the boats, stopping the economy, supporting inflation and reducing the NHS...
