Best pet name you’ve heard

I watched a video today and a woman’s pet sphynx cat that she called Nudacris. That tickled me

I saw a cat called John Craven on a rescue website.

But not German Bite?

Frank Turner has a cat called Boudiccat which is pretty fab.

I’ve had a hamster called Cat Food (as a gentle reminder to DD to take care) and a Rabbit called Arfer ( R fer Rabbit)

Smeagol, for a Beagle.

I once knew a cat called Ian. They were Polish so I don't think it was ironic, which made it even better.

My friend had 2 cats called Gail and Louise. Was supposed to be Thelma and Louise but we decided Thelma looked like Gail Tilsley from Coronation Street as she had a little triangular face.

My childhood friend had a black lab called Crawford as he was crackers.

I used to know a vicar with dogs called Hally and Luyah (need to say them together to get it).

Friends have a chocolate labrador called Bourneville

I was Googling unusual cat names when we got our new cat and found one called Princess Monstertruck!

A dog called woof, was hilarious hearing him being called from across the field

Ours are Goose and Mitch, Maverick’s ‘real name’ is Pete Mitchell. Everyone assumes Mitch is called Maverick, but we prefer single syllables, easier for recall and Maverick is a mouthful. A previous dog was Brigante, after Carlito Brigante, an Al Pacino character in the film of the same name, always shortened to Brig.

I used to work with someone who had a pair of Rottweilers named Monkey and Drum

I have met dogs called Dave and Brian. Both brilliant dog names IMO. I have dogs called Colin, Geoffrey and less interesting Flora. I also have chickens, one of whom is called Rock Chick because she is all black with a tuft of feathers on her head 😮

Ha! There may well have been! I think there was a Shannon too. Mind you, I think I'd draw the line at German Bite - not sure I'd fancy shouting that across the park!

I know a Cat Stevens. I call him Yusuf when the owner isn't around.

My friend has a tortoise called Voldetort, but was too embarrassed to say it at the vets. So she panicked and said he was called Laura 🤣

Im so over human names (Dave etc) for pets

We have had cats called Peculiar and Gordon.
