I watched a video today and a woman’s pet sphynx cat that she called Nudacris. That tickled me

There used to be a couple who brought their dog to the village pub. He was called Boneapart.

My friend's dog is called Basher 😁 suits him perfectly.

Knew a farmer with a pet sheep called Hannibal

This is Miraculous Ladybug (or Bugsy for short). She hates paparazzi so very hard to get a photo of her.

Our cat is black with a white line under his neck and he’s called Dibley 😜

I once knew a family whose dog and cat were called Vodka and Tonic.

I once met a very cuddly cat called Laptop.

My cats are called Puck and Hex. Hex's late sister was called Hallow. They are the best names (and the best cats).

Two gerbils called Pip and Squeak.

And someone I know has a sausage dog call Cumberland, which I think is a fantastic name.

I was trying to persuade a bishop friend of mine to call his cats Episcopuss and Catechumen. Bit he stuck with their original names.

I named my dog Brutus-Maximus, which I thought sounded awesome. Until that was we had to take him to the vet. Someone else calling out his name in a public place made me cringe. It was very quickly scaled back to Brute. I blame my age (20 at the time) for making this hideous faux-pas

I've got friends with dogs called Peter Lincolnshire (sausage dog obvs), Winston (family surname Burchill).

Family member used to have 2 pets and called them the same name as 2 of her children!

My childhood hamster was called Special Patrol Group. I suppose naming my own pet isn't in the spirit of things though.

A friend of mine has a tortoise called Voldetort.

Gnasher. He was a tiny little dog, scruffy with boot button eyes and wearing a little blue jumper. He was crying because he wanted to be picked up but his owner said he had to walk for a bit. He couldn’t be carried everywhere. 😂

There was a local Jack Russell called Picnic. I just thought that was the best name I'd ever heard and it totally suited him.

I have a cat called Stolli Bolli (AbFab) a ginger cat called Ed (turned out to be a girl but name stuck) & ragdoll called Bewlay (a Bowie track on Hunky Dory, Bewlay Brothers)
