Please settle this argument - milk is for santa

Milk and cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer
this is the way it was done in my childhood and my children’s childhood.
A friend said she always left the milk and carrots for the reindeer and Santa got a cookie.
i know there isn’t a right or wrong way to do it but please help settle the argument that the milk is for Santa!

(lighthearted as we haven’t stopped laughing at the disagreement)

The milk or other drink of choice is for Santa. I can't think of why anyone would imagine it was for the reindeer?

The drink is for Santa, whether its sherry, whisky or milk. Reindeers only drink water, same as every other adult animal in the world.

I don't think Santa would have turned up in our house for milk!

It was whiskey or sherry and a mince pie.

Carrot for the reindeer, a nice tot of something to keep the cold out for FC.

Luckily the reindeer know their way home, as FC is not fit to be at the reins after, say, Helsinki...

Growing up it was whisky and Christmas cake for Santa.

My kids did milk and cookies (US) for Santa and carrots for the reindeers.

we subbed milk and cookies for wine and mince pies of course but the children didn’t know that.
so far all agreements the drink is for Santa, I’m onto a win!

We did milk growing up for Santa. All of my friends left him booze but my folks felt you shouldn't drink and drive.

I asked my 4 year old what he wanted to leave this year and he said wine! Not sure where he's picked that up or what messages were sending but I didn't argue too hard!

This year Santa had whisky and a mince pie. He’s also been known to have a passionfruit martini in our house.

Father Christmas (the real one in Ingleton Caves) told us that he prefers a single malt.

What sort of idiot thinks reindeer drink milk?! I’d reconsider your friend choice here 😉

Sherry and a mince pie for Santa in my childhood, poor reindeer didn't get anything!
When dd was little it was a mince pie and a glass of apple juice but poor reindeer still neglected.

No milk, no cookies.
Whisky/Sherry and a mince pie for Santa. Carrots for the reindeer.

Port for Santa, Rudolph gets a carrot.
