A Christmas message from Rishi to us all. Said with a completely straight face.

Times reporting that Sunak is considering releasing Truss' resignation honours list alongside the NY honours list to try to reduce media attention. Would also avoid having to answer questions in parliament.

I mean they can try this method but if they honestly think people will over look the ridiculousness of Truss having an honours list they are mistaken. Even my most true blue family members are riddled with embarrassment at the mention of her name.

Sunak is trolling us surely. Having spent the day reliving the time my drink was spiked, and being told by our home secretary that this is legal and something to be joked about, I am not impressed. But yes Sunak, I'm sure I'll forget it by tomorrow and have a great Christmas.

I strongly believe in free speech. But you should be held to account for what you say. Appropriate account. Does that make sense?

And I believe that plenty of people would make similar kinds of "jokes". But if you're Home Secretary you have to hold yourself to different standards. And if you don’t uphold those standards, you should be held to account. I don't think you can be Home Secretary and say stuff in a (semi?) public setting and not be professional.

Agree with this. It's part of the importance we (rightly) put on leaders.

I appreciate standards have dropped of late but it doesn't mean we should accept that.
