Merry Christmas everyone!

🤞 our last under a Tory government for a while.

Roussette · 25/12/2023 06:20

A very Merry Christmas one and all, thanks for the sane posts on here!

I reckon the election night one might be more than one...

L1ttledrummergirl · 25/12/2023 10:44

Merry Christmas all. I'm hoping 2024 is a return to good politics and doing the right thing for the country.
Please make the election soon rather than later.

grannycake · 25/12/2023 11:14

Merry Christmas and thanks for these threads. Hopefully they'll be gone (Tory party not the threads) by next year

Is he starting his new job advertising Coca Cola early?

What on earth??? Is he trying to channel Hugh Grant in Love Actually or something?

RafaistheKingofClay · 25/12/2023 23:31

It did have that sort of feel.

Just spotted this one on his Twitter timeline from yesterday.

Apart from the obvious wish for next year, I have a new one. Can whoever’s making these to try and make Rishi look like a person that cares about the people of the country please carry on. They are so bad they are good.

Home to Yorkshire? As if! I don't believe Yorkshire is his home and he was popping back there for Christmas, meeting loads of people who love him on the way. And if he went home to Yorkshire yesterday how was he on his own at #10 today?

Saucery · 26/12/2023 06:40

Did they cut the bit after “That’s a lot of noodles”? Where the man said it was his Christmas food and all he could afford, so fuck you, Sunak?

IClaudine · 26/12/2023 07:31

Oh my god, how cringeworthy! Is he doing this because the election is going to be sooner rather than later?

I am guessing he doesn't go into ordinary shops much, all that fuss about tapping his card.

Roussette · 26/12/2023 08:44

I had to watch that (with the sound off) It was very contrived and he will have hated it as something he had to do. All that public he had to meet!

There would've been a big camera crew, security, and people scouting in advance for who to talk to, all made to look spontaneous.

I bet he's glad that's over. For good.

Merry Christmas-time to you all!
That link is SO bad I thought it was a spoof ? What WAS he thinking?
(& the whole 'Harry you've got the wrong number' was just bizarre too)

DuncinToffee · 26/12/2023 11:24

I followed Rousette's advice and watched it without sound, was that his special Mexican coke?

Meanwhile Keir had a beer in his local

Not a beer, the outrage.

Yet another attempt to show he is like a King? Rather than the village idiot promoted far beyond his capabilities.

Do the Conseratives go round visitng villages to recruit their ministers?

You're being very unkind to village idiots here.

I saw this headline and thought, "well, end it however you like, if you want to end it by WhatsApp then go for it. Just end it!"

I am amazed that anyone thinks it is or ever was appropriate for government business to be conducted by whatsapp.

I think I have Sunak worked out.

Tony Blair and Boris Johnson connected with people as politicans, whether one liked them or not, they had skills.
Gordon Brown, John Major and Keir Starmer were dull. Dull is fine, there are plenty of dull men in the UK, dull and functional is just fine.

I can't paint. I could buy a painting by numbers set and it would look exactly like I had painted by numbers and there would be nothing of any value.
Sunak is trying to be a politican by polticing by numbers, which is why he ends up with exactly nothing of any value. In fact at risk of being unfair on nothing, he is as far as I can tell a character made up entirely of nothing, an empty nothing.
