……the birds get through an entire huge tube of seed in less than 8 hours! I’m having to refill daily when usually it’s once or twice a week!

My youngest has had trousers on this week for school instead of shorts (and they don't fit cose i bought them in Sept & hes shot up 3 inch & lost his belly since then) & my eldest actually put a coat on when I pointed out it was -2 as he set off to high school this morning 🤦‍♀️

They’re more common here, basically underfloor heating but outside, it only heats to be just warm enough to stop ice forming.

Ddog is a wimp and I have to put him on a lead to go for a wee. It's not even that cold where i am.

The kids at at risk of broken ankles in the frozen mud at the stables tomorrow.

When my joints get so stiff I struggle to go up the stairs. When the plants in my garden all vanish and it's a wasteland only fit for the rubbish bags. Hate bloody winter. It sucks.

The cats line up at 4pm to tell me to light the lights fire

My cats are outdoor cats from Easter to Halloween/ Guy Fawkes. Then they spot weld themselves to the central heating and only venture into the garden when Nature is not so much calling but has set of the claxon. They do, however, manage to closely guard the kitchen and inexplicably gain weight.

Once Easter/ fledglings arrive, orf they venture into the great outdoors. So winter is when the radiators are knee deep in cats and the cat treats run low.

The wild mice only come out to the bird table for breakfast, stuff their cheek pouches with supplies and go back to their holes to cwtch up for the rest of the day.

Me too and I have no idea why. It's usually in summer when I am not wearing proper shoes!

I get my hairdryer out rather than drying naturally. This also means the start of the annual hunt for something to tame the frizz because I can guarantee that whatever worked last winter will either have have been discontinued or have a new coconut infested formula. (Yuk).
