A village library.
A village swimming pool

A climbing wall... we drive to the next city currently!

Kpo58 · 30/11/2023 23:13

A playground for the kids and a bus service that does evenings and Sundays.

TokyoSushi · 30/11/2023 23:14

A John Lewis!

RampantIvy · 30/11/2023 23:14

Better public transport.

Eatbetterthisweek · 30/11/2023 23:16

A mountain.

Radiodread · 30/11/2023 23:17

Better outdoor adventure facilities like pump tracks, BMX tracks, maybe the odd free assault course. Council or community maintained.

More independent stores and lower commercial rents.

PepsiCoco · 30/11/2023 23:19

better local shops with a nice village environment. I live in a village and go to the library but there’s just the co op for shops.

Girasoli · 01/12/2023 05:59

Better leisure centres, maybe with a climbing Wall or ice rink.

We just have council pool/gym/hall ones that look exactly the same as they did when I was a kid nearly 30 years ago.

Prettypaisleyslippers · 01/12/2023 06:00

A clothes shop

Maraudingmarauders · 01/12/2023 06:03

Wider range of cuisines for restaurants and takeaways. We live in the countryside so are pretty limited to a Chinese and an Indian. Whenever I go to London or Birmingnam I'm so excited by being able to eat Brazilian. Or Portuguese. Vietnamese. Danish. Whatever. So many options!
Not enough to move to the city though!

EveSix · 01/12/2023 06:03

A swimming lake.

SparklingSparkle · 01/12/2023 06:04

Pharmacy. This is for my mum really. Her closest is a 40 minute walk away with no parking and not on a bus route she can use. She's in London!
I've got four within a 10 minute walk from me. She needs to rely on me to get her prescriptions.

MermaidMummy06 · 01/12/2023 06:04

A decent park/playground.

The one in our street was 'transformed' just when DS was old enough to use it. It now has a fenced playground that consists of a swing & slide. The massive green space has been designated off leash dog park so is full of dog sh*t and kids walking uncontrolled dogs.

DisforDarkChocolate · 01/12/2023 06:06

Nothing where we are now. A good bakers where were planning to move to.

user1497787065 · 01/12/2023 06:06

Roads without potholes.

Stresa22 · 01/12/2023 06:07

Taco Bell

SorrowsPrayers · 01/12/2023 06:08

Red squirrels

Ostryga · 01/12/2023 06:10

A decent Korean takeout. We have a restaurant but it doesn’t deliver and I want to eat jjigae and tteokbokki on the sofa!

PiggieWig · 01/12/2023 06:10

A lido

autumnboys · 01/12/2023 06:17

A decent pub in walking distance.

Drwhattf · 01/12/2023 06:19

Sun!

shellyleppard · 01/12/2023 06:29

A post office would be lovely...... some decent shops that don't charge the earth. Nearest town is getting like a ghost ship, full of charity shops and barbers 😫

Pepperama · 01/12/2023 06:29

A bakery and better public transport connections

Summerhillsquare · 01/12/2023 06:30

Buses, any buses going anywhere (middle of bus strike here)

lljkk · 01/12/2023 06:30

A lot less car traffic
