Why are you awake?

I went to bed around half ten and conked out straight away. Woke up around half 1 and still no sign of getting back to sleep. I'll be knackered tomorrow.

Why are you all awake at this ungodly hour?

Fell asleep with youngest around 9.45 - woke up at half 2 and can’t get back to sleep 😴

KeepingTrying · 12/11/2023 03:29

too much stress in my life at the moment. Ds just dropped out of school with anxiety and DM with dementia and having terrors. Fall out with inlaws. Own health rubbish. Having intense conversations in the day time always makes me wake up in the night and struggle to get back to sleep.

sorry to hear you are awake.

I just got back from a party! Which is not as exciting as it sounds - 2 hrs of night buses 😂

firsttimemam8 · 12/11/2023 03:30

Went to bed with 4MO at 9:30 he's started sleeping through but I seem to still be on his previous wake cycle 🫠

Strawberrycheesecake7 · 12/11/2023 03:30

5 month old DS has a nasty cold and won’t sleep.

Throwaway1066 · 12/11/2023 03:32

Crippling anxiety

MariaLuna · 12/11/2023 03:33

Insomnia.

Worrying about the state of the world..... etc.

Also, love the quiet at night.

Sorry you're going through such a hard time. It's hard to switch off the worries about our loved ones

Poor thing. Have you tried wrapping him up and taking him out for a bit of fresh night air? Might clear the pipes a bit!

Night shift

APurpleSquirrel · 12/11/2023 03:49

Went to bed just after midnight; we were back very late (around 11pm) from watching a carnival (it was delayed by 1.5hrs!), consequently I was freezing as we'd been outside for 6hrs so I put the heating up.
Woke up about 30mins ago & it's now too hot in the house plus I can't breathe properly as I have a cold.
Just turned the heating down & waiting for my nose to clear so I can try & get some sleep. Though DH is now snoring! Angry

HiCandles · 12/11/2023 03:51

Parents have very kindly taken toddler for a sleepover as we've had a bad week of no sleep and sickness but I still can't sleep thanks to pregnancy insomnia and worry about toddler not sleeping for his grandparents.

Tilllly · 12/11/2023 03:52

Buggered if I know

Been asleep 3 hrs and awake 3 hrs

sunsmachinery · 12/11/2023 03:59

Stupidly drank one too many glasses of wine, fell asleep and then the rain woke me up. Now worried about our overall finances and wondering how long a client is going to take to pay my invoice!

marriednotdead · 12/11/2023 04:06

Insomniac and pretty rubbish lately. Falling asleep is easy enough but I’m waking far too early. DP’s alarm usually goes off as I doze off which is infuriating when it’s his day off (yesterday). Hopefully I’ll get some more sleep but we’re going on holiday tomorrow morning and have just aeen windy weather forecast which will almost certainly delay flights so I’m fretting about that now.

WobbliHead3000 · 12/11/2023 04:10

Night feeds with my 8 day old. I prefer to let DH sleep so he can manage the 4 yo in the day as I can catch up. He finds napping in the day hard whereas I can knock out anytime.

ThunderThighs123 · 12/11/2023 04:20

Had to get up to go to the loo. Groan.
Bad sleep hygiene - napping during the day. It's nice to be reminded that I'm not alone.

RantyAnty · 12/11/2023 04:23

The usual insomnia

TMess · 12/11/2023 04:24

Entire family has the flu and I have a newborn who doesn’t sleep as well.

namestuck · 12/11/2023 04:26

Brand new Puppy! He slept from 10:30 to 4 so I can't complain Smile

Night owl 🦉

Sympathies to those unaccustomed to these hours who are going through a tough time.

Frazzledandfried · 12/11/2023 04:31

Away for a night with my sister and my snoring is so bad she's just told me she hasn't been to sleep yet! (I did warn her it was bad and to get earplugs- she didnt) so now I'm sitting up in the hope she can get a couple hours in.... feel a bit guilty 😬

WinterWillReturn · 12/11/2023 04:33

Me too @Throwaway1066. Anxiety is shit isn’t it? I haven’t had a full night’s sleep for weeks.

drspouse · 12/11/2023 04:38

Have been in a bit of pain since overdoing it at work on Thursday (long recovery from a surgery). Needed the loo but wanted to wake up a bit before getting out of bed. Now I'm fully awake and a bit hungry!
