Why are you awake?

I went to bed around half ten and conked out straight away. Woke up around half 1 and still no sign of getting back to sleep. I'll be knackered tomorrow.

Why are you all awake at this ungodly hour?

Woke with a migraine at about 3, and just trying to stay awake long enough to let my meds work. Perimenopause is a bitch.

I woke for the loo at 2 and can't settle off again . It is v frustrating. I have to be up in an hour so in approx 45 mins I will crash out just in time to wake with a start when the alarm goes !
Then it will take a couple of hours to get up.to speed and stop feeling like I have been whacked with a sledge hammer several times. Sadly quite common for me .

I was thinking how lovely the absolute silence was and then now I can hear birds chirping in my garden as if it’s spring. Lovely.

Trying to figure out if I'm in labour with dc4. You'd think I'd have the hang of it by now but apparently not!

Not helped by the fact that my 6yo came through crying at 3am because she had a bad dream then had an existential crisis that she won't be the "baby" for much longer.

Awful awful knee pain. Had it on and off for over 2 years, but never as bad as this. Had x-rays, and an MRI, both came back "normal". But here I am. Been up since 4am in tears with my normal knee...

My neighbour woke me up with a loud speakerphone conversation at midnight. I was feeling unwell so had only been asleep for an hour. Now I’m still awake, tossing and turning, stressing about having to be up by 7.

Ds got up at 2am and started getting dressed for school. I had to put him back to bed. Sometimes he sleep walks.

Now my mind has started worrying about other stuff….

DS has bilateral clubfoot. As part of his treatment he’s progressed from casting to boots + bar which he’s supposed to wear 23 hours a day for the next month but he got a pressure sore within the first 2 days. He’s had them off for a week and now we’re reintroducing them with an hour off, an hour on. He hates them and screams when they’re on, so DH and I are taking shifts. I got to sleep 12-2 (after a late night run for calpol) and now I’m up with him. Gonna be a long few days I think, last time he cried himself hoarse and it broke my heart

Hello, I don't know why I'm awake, I'm usually a great sleeper. Same as the OP, I went to sleep at half ten, woke at half one and no signs of sleep since. I've struggled to regulate my temperature, I keep feeling too hot but outside the duvet is too cold. I wonder if I'm a bit poorly but don't feel too bad considering. I just want 7am to roll around. I don't feel remotely tired.
