Why are you awake?

I went to bed around half ten and conked out straight away. Woke up around half 1 and still no sign of getting back to sleep. I'll be knackered tomorrow.

Why are you all awake at this ungodly hour?

Insomnia here too. Tired but can't sleep so I've got up and am now watching a very old episode of Jonathan creek.

unexpectedalliances · 12/11/2023 04:44

Partner of 20 years has been shagging around for the last 15. Only found out because he had a MH breakdown. I've been raising kids for 15 years and we're not married, no shared finances so I walk away with what I came in with. Need to change country and find new schools (one Sen) and start all over again.

Bemyclementine · 12/11/2023 04:47

I've had covid, on week 3. Which had brought the inability to sleep with hon ⁸

seagulldown · 12/11/2023 04:48

Love Johnathan Creek.

Insomnia here too, get bouts of it that last a week or two and then sleep ok for a couple of months. Doesn't seem to be related to anything particular.

It's also quite noisy next door . Sadly the neighbour is very unwell and often cries out loud. I don't think her pain is very well managed. It's hard to hear (worse for her obviously) and isn't helping me get back to sleep

Stayed up too late and missed the tired boat, meaning I was still awake when DP came to bed and the dreaded snoring started 😖

nfkl · 12/11/2023 05:24

Working on Excel.
I have spent the last 2 weeks doing the same repetitive tasks on a massive spreadsheet over and over again, 10-12h/day.
And tonight, I finished.
At least that big bit.
Feels gooood

My autistic son is wide awake, smashing his door and jumping on his bed and shouting. I'm sick ☹️

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 12/11/2023 05:27

Period pain and heartburn.

Need to rest. Supposed to be helping my friend declutter today.

Tilllly · 12/11/2023 05:28

We're a sorry bunch!

GoodnightJude1 · 12/11/2023 05:32

Woke up at 3am with horrendous epigastric pain 😣 tried getting back to sleep but no luck….so now I’m scrolling mumsnet and watching Time.

Ohmych · 12/11/2023 05:35

Dp turning the landing light on when he got ready for work waking me up at 5am. I can't get back to sleep. Might get up for a cuppa.

whatawhataweek · 12/11/2023 05:37

Had a nap yesterday afternoon and been wide awake since 5am.

whatawhataweek · 12/11/2023 05:38

Oh and something bit me inside my pyjamas and I have a big itchy lump now on my leg.

bobbyeatsocks · 12/11/2023 05:44

Fell asleep on new sofa - we upgraded to foam as I thought it would be less maintenance. Woke up with back pain and a dead leg - now thinking about how much sofa regret I have and how I miss my old sofa we used as a bed on a regular basis as it was so comfy 🤦🏼‍♀️
Full of cold and have been for the past 3 weeks, feel and look awful. Worrying about how much I hate my new job and if it's worth this amount of stress for £700 a month.

johnworf · 12/11/2023 05:47

My autistic son who doesn't sleep very well came in my room and asked why he had a pain under his ribs. 🤷‍♀️

Now I'm wide awake. If it wasn't so cold I would get up.

Applesandcarrots · 12/11/2023 05:47

Sick and woke myself up with own snoring🙄

mondaytosunday · 12/11/2023 05:54

My cats! I was too lazy to take my big male Maine Coon back downstairs after finding him asleep in my bed (i confine the cats overnight to the open plan kitchen/dining/living area which also has a cat flap to the outdoors for this very reason). I figured it's now so dark in the morning he wouldn't wake me up early. I was wrong.

Andywarholswig · 12/11/2023 05:58

Went to bed at 10pm and absolutely crashed out after a very long day. Period pain woke me and now I’m busy worrying about my mum in hospital and how much work I have to do tomorrow

Margotshypotheticaldog · 12/11/2023 06:03

I heard a noise in my wardrobe

terraced · 12/11/2023 06:09

Our dogs always wake up around 5-5.30.

ChocolateBiscuitsandaCuppa · 12/11/2023 06:22

Incredibly wheezy, and it's easier to be upright.

Bertiesmum3 · 12/11/2023 06:38

My sleeping used to be great, used to go to bed at 8pm and when it was my day off I’d wake up at 8am, now I’m going to bed around 10/10.30 and I’m lucky to be asleep by midnight and then awake again by 3/4am!
No reason really for not sleeping

Silkiefloof · 12/11/2023 06:44

Woke up at 6.30am to find my 8kg Maine Coon boy purring 1 inch from my nose. He then decided that DH and I could make ourselves useful and get his tuna.

AHeadForHeights · 12/11/2023 06:45

I'm too cold, I keep needing a wee and I got up late yesterday.
