Veruca Salt

Or Violet Elizabeth Bott.

jgw1 · 14/11/2023 17:20

Am I reading too much between the lines to assume that the Supreme Court will deliver a pleasing verdict tomorrow for humanity?

Or Violet Elizabeth Bott.

😂A complete attention seeker. I'm so fed up with them.

Is she admitting that the idea would never work regardless the verdict?

Maybe.
Did I read it right that she thinks that people voted for Brexit because they don't like foreigners?

bombastix · 14/11/2023 17:34

I would imagine she was told well before the verdict tomorrow what it was likely to be; and as a KC (hons) I like to imagine she understood that.

Honestly, if she is finished off along with pantomime horse that is Johnson, then I will be happy. Both of them are just irredeemably crap. The UK doesn't deserve politicians like this and doesn't want them.

LlynTegid · 14/11/2023 17:34

@IClaudine that is most unkind. To Violet Elizabeth Bott.

The Rwanda scheme, even if it gets Supreme Court approval, will not be a deterrent one bit.

bombastix · 14/11/2023 17:39

She is a petulant and immature character who is unfit for office. Shame on the people that enabled her, particularly if they knew and did nothing.

The best thing she can do is carry on her neo colonial fantasy in Rwanda without the rest of us having to listen to this mercenary dribble

itsgettingweird · 14/11/2023 17:40

Stuck in traffic listening to bbc R4 and the letter willing it to move so I could get home and read the comments on it - what a brat.

Notonthestairs · 14/11/2023 17:42

"Is she admitting that the idea would never work regardless the verdict?"

If their bid succeeds then the Rwanda scheme will be too slow. Which begs the question why she wasn't saying this before now and why we've spent £140 million plus legal fees on it.

Of course the real answer is she's getting ready to pounce on Cleverly.

She's looking to torpedo Sunaks administration. Extraordinary really.

But then again considering she put herself forward as leader before Johnson had even stepped down maybe not!

DuncinToffee · 14/11/2023 17:44

She mentions a "document with clear terms to which you agreed”, does that mean she has proof Shock

I know this an extraordinarily naive question but how would they justify leaving the ECHR without a mandate? I’m pretty sure it wasn’t in their 2019 manifesto, was it?

bombastix · 14/11/2023 17:46

I think she is finished. The Conservatives do not like squealers

DuncinToffee · 14/11/2023 17:47

Ah that will please the shy ones on MN....

Cruddas gang lunatic; if it wasn't the Conservatives you could pinch yourself and they would a group of Momentum supporters "hurt and angry" they have been cut out. Ridiculous

derxa · 14/11/2023 18:04

To be fair to her she is a very snappy dresser

bombastix · 14/11/2023 18:38

Well she's given a gift to the Labour Party. Makes Sunak look even worse. Since she hasn't the numbers to get rid of him, it's something she should have thought more carefully about. Dirty laundry like this isn't best shown to everyone.

IClaudine · 14/11/2023 18:45

Richard Tice getting all excited on LBC. He really thinks his party has a chance.

No. I don’t think sending people to Rwanda was in their either which she seems to have forgotten.

She also seems to have forgotten Rishi gave her the Home Sec job days after she’d been sacked for something that in a normal government would have had her losing the whip.
