Are you sure? I can't see anything about it. You aren't thinking of Andrea Jenkyns by any chance?

Here is Robert Preston"s tweet

Crikey. Andrea Leadsom is back in the government. I’m not sure anyone saw that coming either
Underneath is an announcement.

I thought I was imagining it!

On Jeremy Vine today Davina Sheffield, SamCam's sister. Apparently Rishi and Dave are close and have been throughout Rishi's PMship. I think she would know more about it than you.

So it was Dave's brainwave then?

Who knows. In your world every Tory is a bad person. I'm old enough to remember Lord Carrington and no one could accuse Thatcher of being weak.

Are psychopaths weak? Discuss. (300 words; 9 marks)

'Psychopaths' What on earth are you talking about? When I read these threads I always think if you despise politicians so much why don't you stand for parliament.

@derxa that's an odd tone to take in your reply.

I didn't claim to 'know' anything, it was merely a thought.

I thought Brexit had fucked up farming @derxa

AutumnCrow · 14/11/2023 10:04

Ok it was a joke. And I have been involved in politics. I think I'll back out now.

Sunak told to "prepare for war"

I must say, once Sunak settled in I thought we were getting back to more boring politics. Apparently not ...

These people will drag us all down. We saw that at the weekend. They need to go and this hard right division of the Conservatives knocked out for many years. They are busy trying to make us fight each other. Disgusting

I didn't vote for Brexit but as I keep saying my sheep keep getting good prices at market. No downturn after Brexit. What is fucking farming is green washing policies and especially in Wales where mysterious companies are buying up farms to plant trees.

This whole Cameron appointment had been in the making since Tuesday/Wednesday so Sunak let Braverman spout her hatred and backed her with his confidence whilst knowing he was going to sack her.

I suppose the difference to Johnson's time in office was that other Ministers were not prepared to agree with her words.

Good. We are all just trying our best in this world barring rapists and murderers.

Thatcher certainly wasn't weak in the way that Johnson and Sunak are. Can you imagine Thatcher coming into an illegal party and not making if very clear it was not an acceptable way for no 10 staff to behave?

On this we can agree.

Quite indefensible law breaking from Johnson and Sunak.

This kind of thing is inevitable in a crisis, its just the sort of risk you have to take when you buy stuff down the pub.

bombastix · 14/11/2023 11:02

Bah. I don't think the Conservatives are doing their best and it's an embarrassment. If it were the case that they were doing their best or even attempting to do it then the country would look very different. But instead we are in real trouble.

I suspect lots of Conservative voters are turned off and indeed regretful. If thud wasn't the case the polls would not look as they do.

RafaistheKingofClay · 14/11/2023 11:42

The conservatives are doing their best. Just for themselves and not they’re best for the country. There’s money to be made.

I do not think that. There have been some good Tories with a moral compass. I could give you a list of names.
And then we have this lot.
Of which there will be some good people, they just get overlooked.

IClaudine · 14/11/2023 12:25

Johnson purged a lot of the decent Tories.
