Suella's coup is going well

from SKy News

As we reported earlier, the New Conservatives grouping of right-wing Tory MPs is meeting this evening to discuss how they intend to respond to Suella Braverman's sacking.
But according to our chief political correspondent Jon Craig, who is in parliament outside the room where the group is convening, fewer than 10 MPs have turned up.
They include deputy Tory party chair Lee Anderson, as well as backbenchers Miriam Cates, Tom Hunt and Simon Clarke.
One person there has told Jon more have joined virtually on Zoom.

I hope he's got a glass handy and is listening intently

Esther McVey has fabulous hair.

Exactly. It does not seem democratic.
I could maybe understand if there was a national emergency but being stuck because you've borked your own government doesn't seem to fit the bill.

There is literally nothing democratic about our society and political system right now.

Esther McVey has fabulous hair.

Maybe her hair could become PM? Probably be more effective than Rishi!

RafaistheKingofClay · 13/11/2023 20:04

Hahahahahahaha McVey as common sense tsar. Someone’s been at the House of Commons coke stash haven’t they.

tobee · 13/11/2023 20:05

So who was thinking 12 short hours ago that David Cameron would be front page news?

Dave the solution to all our woes.

It just beggars belief.

Didn’t they try that with Boris?

This week’s first week in Tory is out. I’m sure there will be more this week.

Is this a night of the long blunt knives?

newnamethanks · 13/11/2023 21:46

Whatever can you mean Duncin? Suella is massively popular, and people are begging for her to return to office and lead the Party. I'm sure that's what the Daily Mail said. And with 30pLee on side too, what more could she need?

Sorry, I forgot about the shy new Tories, the silent majority......

I want to hear how the chosen Tory on breakfast news spins the Minister of Commonsense anti woke appointment. Should be a laugh

Have they appointed the Minister for Silly Walks yet or have I missed that?

LookItsMeAgain · 13/11/2023 22:07

Roussette · 13/11/2023 15:41

Ha. ITV have agreed to pay bigot Farage £1.3M to go in the Jungle so we're safe for a while.

I seriously hope he’s to do every single Bushtucker Trial. All of them.

newnamethanks · 13/11/2023 22:24

Oh. Just realised that I can vote for Farage to suffer the trials. I dont watch it but that would be worth it. Every one, every time. If that's possible. Money well spent.

Is it though, or is he best ignored?

BIossomtoes · 13/11/2023 22:33

He won’t be ignored.

DuncinToffee · 13/11/2023 22:38

He will be ignored by me, never watched or voted for Hancock either.

Any chance of doing a thread reader on it and copying it here? I came off X because it’s too toxic.

LittleBowSheep · 14/11/2023 01:08

I can't stop laughing at the appointment of a Minister for Common Sense.

Monty Python were ahead of their time.

Roussette · 14/11/2023 07:36

I can't believe they've brought Andrea Leadsom back 😲

Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Health and Social Care. Like that woman would care a jot about social care Angry

Dear oh dear

This has come from Robert Peston but she has written a long letter VONC that I have read. Is this to shut her up?

MrTiddlesTheCat · 14/11/2023 07:39

Farage won't necessarily do all the trials. It'll depend on how he handles them. Hancock got voted to do them to begin with, but viewers quickly realised he enjoyed doing them so stopped voting for him.

Passepartoute · 14/11/2023 07:54

The best approach to Farage on IAC is just not to watch it. He wants the attention.
