I DON’T CARE ABOUT THE BOATS!!!!!

<sobs> <head in hands>

Why are they still going on about the boats?

DuncinToffee · 13/11/2023 18:01

Tech minister sacked from all roles

Paul Scully has been sacked from all his ministerial roles, Sky News understands.

Asked if David Cameron has given up all of his many outside business interests before taking on his new job, Rishi Sunak's spokesman would only say that they will "ensure all relevant interests will be managed appropriately".

Scum (Cleverly, that is. Maybe he should change his name to Scummily).

Cleverly's fucking first tweet as Home Sec

I'm confused. I thought the boats had already been stopped?

countrygirl99 · 13/11/2023 18:11

You know I wouldn't mind if they stopped the boats by co-operating with other countries to target people smugglers, by providing safe routes and by speeding up the approval process. But that's not what they'll do. They'll just announce more unworkable wastes of money.

Hang on, have we misunderstood. Does he mean he's stopped the Bibby Stockholm nonsense?

DuncinToffee · 13/11/2023 18:17

Maybe he means 'stop the flights'?

Took the words out of my mouth. Wtaf?

AdamRyan · 13/11/2023 18:23

VimtoVimto · 13/11/2023 15:38

The frightening thing about the speed Cameron was appointed to the HOL and the Cabinet is that it could happen with someone far worse like Farage.

Exactly. It does not seem democratic.
I could maybe understand if there was a national emergency but being stuck because you've borked your own government doesn't seem to fit the bill.

Have I understood correctly that Braverman was got rid of for being too woke and McVey has been tasked with finding more wokes under the bed?

Agree they won’t they have no intention, just soundbites & bollocks as per usual, as if we haven’t endured enough we will now have Esther McVey spouting total nonsense.

countrygirl99 · 13/11/2023 18:40

SoMuchSimpler · 13/11/2023 18:24

Minister for sleep then?

I could do with a Minister for Sleep. They might sort my insomnia. Mind you sorting social care for the elderly would solve some of the problems keeping me awake but that's probably too much to ask for.

Piggywaspushed · 13/11/2023 18:42

As Home Sec , Cleverly now oversees the controversial Wethersfield Asylum Centre, much loathed amongst locals. Their MP raised serious concerns about it and said he would 'seek reassurances'.

The MP for Wethersfield ? James Cleverly.

DuncinToffee · 13/11/2023 18:45

L1ttledrummergirl · 13/11/2023 18:46

I think it's a coup. Rishi is PM in name only, any key decisions will be taken by others- not necessarily a bad thing.

I suspect there will be some subtle changes of direction in key areas in a desperate attempt to stop letters of no confidence and hold the party together. I don't expect this government will achieve anything, they are just trying to save face and avoid another leadership battle before the election.

They are dead as a serious party, they just haven't realised it yet.

In the name of all that is holy, what the actual fuck...
She is very busy on GBN isn't she? Who doesn't moonlight there for god's sake. She's described as a 'television presenter' on Wiki.

This is all designed to appeal to Red Wall, ERG and the like. Along with Not Cleverly's stop the boats nonsense
