Starmer's hair? FFS! I'm guessing plenty of people have already mentioned Johnson and Fabricant ad nauseum over there.

Yeah - I added to that 🤣🤣

DuncinToffee · 12/10/2023 19:56

You lot made me laugh with the Corbyn hair appreciation society

You are most welcome, it does seem to have quietened down the thread.

Anyone get the popbitch email?

an interesting tale about the PM who liked her jaunts when foreign secretary.

Notonthestairs · 12/10/2023 21:34

Apologies if this has been linked to already

  • an interesting explanation as to what has gone wrong at MoJ under the Conservatives

Look up 'Catalogue of Failure' and this is what you will see...

Notonthestairs · 12/10/2023 22:01

Yep. Just careering between disasters, announcing policies without planning any further ahead than the headline.

RafaistheKingofClay · 12/10/2023 23:20

Aren’t there still some just stop oil protestors and the like still serving sentences? Seems like it would be good to release them rather than rapists.

Doubtful. Just stop oil very rarely break the law, the police arrest them there is a lot of noise, then they quietly get released the next day.

There are some Kill the Bill protesters still serving sentences following protests in Bristol a few years ago. Priti as Home Secretary changed rules so they got long sentences.

Did anyone listen to Grant Shapps on r4today? He was awful. Basically saying that broadcasters should mirror government messaging. Mishal Husain made mincemeat out of him.

What time was he on, roughly?

Notonthestairs · 13/10/2023 09:57

But of Husain talking to Schapps here.

I hope the Libdems have a bit of a surge and the tories all find themselves on the back benches. Sunak's ego might explode if he doesn't even get to be leader of the opposition.

NEW: Rishi Sunak’s approval rating is now at the lowest point EVER after his party conference

Tory strategists hoped his “change” speech and cancelling HS2 Manchester would give him a boost - the opposite has happened

He’s down 5 points in a single week

Maybe he should try sporting a mullet

"Debt interest is likely to be £20bn to 30bn higher this year than was predicted in spring.

Jeremy Hunt told Sky News the Office for Budget Responsibility's (OBR) official economic forecasts would be considerably worse than at the budget - a signal there may be spending cuts or possibly even tax rises ahead.

That interview was a car crash.

He was so rude and defensive and would only say that the uk government support Israel's right to fight back. And they are pleased they've given 24 hours notice. He wouldn't say he agreed with what they are doing or even answer the question about those who couldn't move in that 24 hour window.

That's how the attack on bbc reporting came about. Because he hated being held to account.
