It certainly indicates that she has - or believes she has - authority over the Prime Minister.

Politically the Home Secretary is being utterly stupid. Earlier in the week the headlines were about Labour tying themselves in knots about the difference between a pause and a ceasefire. Braverman has very successfully removed that from the news cycle. Do you think Starmer has sent her a thank you note?

Braverman isn't interested in winning the next election.

In fact if the Conservatives/Sunak win I suspect she'd be very disappointed.

Asked how PM could have full confidence in her if she was going round writing “rogue articles”, he responded: “We are looking into what happened in this instance around the op ed. We will update if appropriate”.

If Sunak doesn't sack her, he looks fatally weak.

He has put himself in a bind by appointing her in the first place.
Sack her and the letters of no confidence start arriving in greater numbers from that wing of the party.
Don't sack her and the letters of no confidence start arriving in greater numbers from the more centralist wing of the party, although perhaps being more aware they realise that another undemocratic PM appointment wouldn't do them any favours.

Reports that the amendments required by No 10 weren't minor ones - makes it all the more interesting that he didn't start the day by rejecting her column.

Sunak could get out of the sack her/don't sack her conundrum by calling a GE! (A girl can dream).

The Supreme Court has reached its judgment on the Rwanda case faster than expected

It was anticipated to take up to two months, but done and dusted in five weeks

I hope to God the Supreme Court comes down on the side of humanity. This scheme terrifies me.

She is winding up all those who live in our constituency who I chat too lately too.

Most people who were indifferent to her are now openly stating she's an embarrassment and doesn't represent us. There is hope she'll be gone 🤞

Reshuffle has to be the most sensible option available to him I’d have thought. Allows him to get rid of her without getting rid of only her.

Although I will still await her ‘why I was sacked from Sunak’s government’ column.

I expect it'll be a guilty pleasure for many of us!

I know I sound like a miserable old sod but I think given Braverman's rhetoric her being fired will increase the potential for trouble on Saturday. There are snippets on Twitter that I won't link or amplify that are quite excited about # istandwithsuella etc.

It's already a very difficult couple days of policing - and that will be intensified if other groups declare themselves protecting the Cenotaph in place of the police for example.
I am concerned for (almost) all involved.
